Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)

While I shoot low a majority of the time, I will have the occasional off round(for me).

I don't have the highest rated clubs and I don't drive the ball further than everyone, but I have figured out my comfortable distances for approach shots. When I'm dialed in, if I get my approaches within 12 feet, I have extreme confidence that I'll drain the putt. Mix in some longer putts that drop and that leads to my low rounds.

I'm a power golfer with high trajectory draw but I focus just as much on the accuracy of my clubs as the power. I also rarely go into overswing on the back swing(pullback) to help minimize the mi**** window.

Lastly, I play my offline career with no wind speed(arrow only) and no zoom to aim and on expert swing difficulty in addition to the settings we already use in the CC.

Edit: It also doesn't hurt that I've been playing some version of this game since pc and genesis days. The majority of these courses I've played over and over again, and I know where to put the ball on the greens to have good scoring chances.

Same here. When you play a franchise for well over a decade you definitely pick up a thing or two.

Man, this sums up my last 2 Dailies. Although, they are the best 2 rounds I've shot in a CC event.... -4 in both rounds. Was hitting some of my best approach shots to date, and was reading my putts pretty good. Maybe the Golf Gods have finally taken pity on me.

While I am happy with those rounds, they both could have been so much better. I bet I had 3-5 birdie putts in each round that either stopped right on the lip of the cup or skimmed just over the side of the hole.

I see some of our "Bushwood Elite" say they have been playing TW for the last decade.... this is the first game of TW I've played in "over" a decade.

I too have noticed more guys shooting lower scores and that's good to see... as long as I can keep up with them also.

I think next week, I'll ask guys like Kodiak, Kalub, BigBaby, etc... if I can caddy for them and see if I can pick up some tips. Heck, I'll even drive you guys to and from the course everyday.

Shot my best round ever in the daily today. Eagled the first 3 par 5's & missed eagle on the last hole by an inch. I was -7 on the front & -9 on the back. Everything was falling, I didn't miss a green. I played to the middle of the green on holes near water & was able to make putts. I was 6 inches from an eagle on one of the par 4's on the front. Just one of those days where everything went right.

I did quit the first time I started the tourney. I saw my driver was the wrong one before I even hit my first shot, so I backed out. I haven't remembered to change my clubs back after I play those online matches with these guys.

Congrats on that round. You beat my personal low. I wanted eagle on the 18th to get to -15 as that would've set my new personal low. Instead I'm stuck at -14(twice)

Probably will miss a few dailys as family in town for aunts 50th wedding anniversary. That along with covering some vacation leaves little time.
Only 2 more weeks of night shift though!!

Well I had a great round today in the daily -11.

Koolie and Kodiak -16, and -14!!!! Damn, it's like you guys are playing a video game or something!

I ended up making it home from watching the game in time to get the daily in... Shot a solid round, except for putting one in the water on the second Par 5 and only making Par on that. -16 overall. Koolie has me beat by about 20 in the tiebreaker score, though. Nice shooting guys!

Thanks! It seems to me that putting is substantially easier on Slow and Average course conditions. Either that or the past few daily courses have remarkably flat greens, or I'm getting lucky and my approaches are landing in spots without much break to them. Maybe a combination of both.

A disastrous double bogey on 13 cost me the daily (at least a shot at the lead). Came roaring back though with 5 straight birdies including chip ins on 17 and 18 to tie at the top -9. However, currently sitting at the lowest of the tiebreakers.

Good rounds today boys and girls.
