If I could consistently drive the ball into the fairway, I would shave another 8-9 strokes off each of my rounds.

Also, I think EA likes to pick on me lol. I swear every time I hit the ball with my iron play to get it up on the green and my ball magically ALWAYS finds the sand trap if there is one there. Not the rough, not out of bounds far from the green but the dam traps, every single time. The funny thing though is I'm pretty good at holing out or getting out of those and landing within 1-3 feet from the hole. I still think it's a consipracy though, EA is trying to keep me in the sand, no matter where the trap is.
Try aiming right unless the wind is already blowing that direction. And slow down your swing. See if that helps.

I've never gotten so pissed off at a Tiger Woods game before...

      1) The way the wind seems to affect your balls trajectory is totally random. You could have 12MPH winds one hole blowing left to right and it will put your ball 20 feet off line. A few holes later same wind speed and direction and it barely moves the ball at all.... unreal.

      2) I've lost count at how many times I've had birdie putts turn into bogeys because I always miss putts that go right past the edges of the cup every time! I would be in contention almost every round I play if I made half of these putts.

I wanted to pull my hair out it was so frustrating. Lol

This was my experience on the 1st round of the Weekly tonight. Shot a +2, but I had about 5 birdie putts just like you described. Just killing me.

Another thing I forgot to mention was this game's horrible frame rate issues during your swing.

Just got my first double eagle of this year's version at the 1st Par 5 on back 9 at Kiawah. Hit a nice runner that hit just on front of green and rolled to the cup, hitting pin and dropping. Probably my best shot since TW 12, when I eagled #11 at Augusta while playing with BluenGold_OS

+6 again on today's daily (hey, consistency is good right?), didn't putt that badly but really struggled to hold the greens on approaches.

Started -4 on the weekly but followed that up with a +7 I think (got stuck in the middle of a bush in a bunker on one of the holes and took forever to get out as the ball just kept hitting the bush and stopping). Love Kiawah Island though so fingers crossed for a good closing 36.

Finding it easier to hit big fades rather than smaller ones so now I'm levelling up my workability starting to get a bit more consistent on the 2nd shots.

Thanks. Rounds 2-4 were significantly tougher than Round 1. The game seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to how much the wind really affects ball flight.

                  Nice going, Dan!

I this I'd about piss myself if I ever pull that off in this game. I have only 1 regular eagle through 30+ rounds.

The first daily of the FedEx scoring and I didn't play very well. I birdied and bogeyed my way around the course until 18 and I made eagle there to shoot -2. Just never was able to get the putts to fall. That's why I think this FedEx cup will be fun because some days you just don't play as well as others, but if you are consistent you will be rewarded.

Well, I played 5 rounds last night; completed the weekly and played yesterday's daily. It was my best night ever with the game, lowest score was -9. Shot -12 at Sheshan with an eagle on 18 to tie for the lead. Shot -9, -11, -12, -9 for the weekly at Kaiwah for a total of -41. I have a feeling some of the other top cc members will crush that. I've now played a total of 6 rounds at Kaiwah, 2 during my career on the web.com tour and now the 4 rounds of this weeks tournament and the lowest I've shot at Kaiwah is -9. That course has just come easy and I don't know why. Probably because the greens are pretty flat which made sinking long birdies pretty easy. The back nine is were I would tear it up, in rd 3 I birdied every hole except 1. Needed to get my rounds in because of my vacation tomorrow, it will be interesting to see if my score holds up.

I agree there is NO consistency on the effect the wind has on the ball in the air. And it's completely maddening.

On a side note, the greens at The Els Club are no joke!

Question, on the leaderboard there is a column labeled "tie", what exactly is this column? I assume it is to break ties but, what is the number based on, how to you get the number. Is it based on your round performance or just randomly assigned? Just curious.
I was hoping for rounds like that last night in the weekly. Came up well short of where you ended up. Nice play.

Ok I've finally felt the nerves you guys have been talking about. FINALLY was in competition with the top scorers. Went into 18 with a share of the -7 lead. Holy. Crap. My palms were sweating, nervous as HELL.

Impossible to reach the par 5 18th in 2. My third shot rolls off the front left of the green. Chip in birdie for the lead! I know a lot more still have to play, but what a feeling. I had an incredible back with eagle 3 straight birdies and the birdie on 18. If I didn't 4 putt double bogey I'd be sitting pretty.

Anyway sorry to toot my own horn here lol. I'm a very humble guy and not gloating at all. Just wanted to share my excitement.

I disagree, one of the reasons I was able to shoot so low at Kaiwah is because I knew how much the wind was going to effect my shot. Most of my approach shots were within 15ft or less of the hole.

You have to take into account the type of swing you are doing. If you are a draw golfer (right hand) and the wind is blowing left to right, the ball movement is going to be exaggerated because it is also moving left to right. Just the opposite for a fade golfer.

The accuracy of you swing has a big influence as well. Take the same draw golfer with the same right to left wind and miss hit the ball a little to the left of you swing meter line and the wind will have even more of an effect. If the wind is blowing left to right it may actually help to straighten out the same miss hit and would appear to not effect the ball as much.

Once your accuracy attribute is built up and you start hitting more accurate shots, the wind becomes very predictable.

And of course when that happens everything ticks me off.

The Giggas comes online during a backswing, EA decides to have status boxes come up over the ball/club, the ranger informing me the other golfers are complaining about my creative language etc... everything was under my skin.

I settled down after a while but still posted a +18 I believe for the week.

Not sure what we can do about the EA drops, but I have found that when they decide to throw up an overlay where I cant see what I'm doing, if you just press start and pause the game, then un-pause it, it goes away. I usually have to do this about twice a round. Not THAT big of a deal but yeah, lets get a patch for this or something. I'm always looking for the X button to close it out and it's not there. So just pause and unpause for now I guess.
