Still having a blast with this game. Seems like I keep learning a bit more about what works and what doesn't each week. Changing to a high trajectory golfer has made holding tournament greens easier, but effected my short game. Learning the adjustments needed is a blast.

Augusta will be interesting this week. Good shots and bad shots have a razor thin window. Interested to see what people shoot. It is still a course I can easily shoot over par on.

Had the game lock up on the second hole. Restated and shot a -10 and during this round I got my first hole-in-one!!! No achievement though, I'm using a power golfer.

My biggest complaint with any version of Tiger of late is there is very little high risk/ high reward in the video game world. Watching The Players all weekend, you could count on one hand the number of times Tiger, Sergio, and those guys hit driver off the tee. It's all about placement to set up approach shots.

Another thing that the game does not simulate very well is when hitting into the rough. It's way too easy to hit into rough and still knock it within easy putting range. I know my scores would be 3-4 strokes lower each round, if hitting from rough was closer to real life, versus its video game counterpart.

Lastly, chipping into cup from fringe is way too easy to hole out in video game world. I have double digit hole outs just for the week. Granted I've played the most holes out of anyone else, but it's still way too common occurrence. It's a big deal to the pros when they do it, on Tiger, it's no big deal. Again during The Players, you would see guys putting from 5-10 feet off the green to control it better. In Tiger, way too much control and no risk when chipping from off green.

Started the daily off right with an Eagle and followed it by smacking my drive out of bounds on hole 2. Doh! I thought to myself, "Well, I'm going to have to hole out to save Par... So much for that Eagle." I've only holed out a few times on long shots with these settings, so I was very surprised when it trickled into the hole for Par. My final score should have been a stroke or two higher than it was, but luck was on my side.

Great rounds mike and kodiak! Congrats on the Ace, mike!

Had a +16 at Augusta when I first joined this CC last month. Now I got Even par. Baby steps! Also trying power style for this week.

Also, 6th hole, avoid the middle and left side of the green at all costs.

+1. A lot of times I'm glad that I've landed on the fringe instead of in the middle of the green. Chipping for hole outs seems much easier than in years past.

This is why I place the honor system on myself, and cap out at 70 on all points. The game is way too easy. Raise that accuracy and power on the points, and bam - forget worrying about your swing; it's practically automatic - no matter what unless you're intentionally screwing up. That's why I thought my post from a couple pages was going to be more well received to the sim crowd - yet I guess I'm the only one who plays that way

Also I'm bragging a bit but I will be going to the Memorial 2 hrs away from me up in Dublin. Was gonna take a couple buddies but since they are not Tiger fans I'm going solo. Gonna follow him around like a whore tailing a pimp. Pumped would be an understatement

I wish I was able to attend the whole week. The pass is $155 for the week. They don't offer 1-day passes so unless I get lucky I'll get stuck paying $155.

What if we had a "HANDICAP" tournament during the week. What I mean is we (BigHoff) would figure out who has the lowest scoring average. They would not get any strokes during that tourney. Then everyone's handicap would be based off that. (I guess you could do it relative to par as well, for example if Kodiak's avg score was -9 , he would have to give up 9 strokes in the handicap tourney. Everyone's score would be adjusted based on their handicap, just like in real golf. Everyone is playing the same courses, so there is no need to take into account slope and the other real life handicap variables.

I know this may be a lot of work (maybe more work than anyone wants to do) but if enough people were interested I'd be willing to help out Hoff figure out people's "handicaps". I just thought this might be a good way to keep people interested. Especially those that are not usually at the top of the leaderboard. Hoff could even keep which daily was the handicap tourney secret if he wanted.

This was just an idea. I'm having a lot of fun in the Country Club, but I know some guys get discouraged when they log on and see someone at -11 or -12 and know they can't beat that from the jump. This would give them a chance to win a daily.

That's my main gripe about the tourney. They would make a killing if they offered weekend passes separate of the week long pass.
