I agree 100%. It is just not the same without Tiger on the front page of the leaderboard on Sunday in a Major or hell, ANY tournament these days......Golf is in a much better place since Tiger came along, but I think it still misses him being relevant as he is still a polarizing figure today, but seemingly a better person then before. Oh how humility works in its own mysterious ways......

That'll be the key...he's shown he's still capable of great rounds (I mean, he's still Tiger...sort of), but can he string 4 of them together?Comment

Re: Jack's Record Is Safe
To quote Hank Haney and others, he needs to eliminate his "big miss" and he will be fine. If he pars the hole he doubled, he shoots 64....PC / Xbox One X

Just kidding with you.Agree with what you said, but that's been his MO of late, right? The big blow-up hole?

Just nice to see his name on the leaderboard without having to scroll down.Comment

That was a better showing than he's made lately. He'll be 40 next year? Still in the midst of a swing change or three? I'd be shocked if he won one more.Comment

Re: Jack's Record Is Safe
He actually could have found himself in contention given the way the tournament ended up...probably left 5-6 relatively easy birdies out on the course.
St. Andrews should be interesting...his history there is not too shabby.Comment

Yesterday has to be the first time he's carded a bogey-free round in a long time.Comment

Re: Jack's Record Is Safe
And he went out in the morning, too - before the winds made it a completely different course in the evening. Not good.
Come to think of it, that's another sign that the heavens appear to no longer be in Woods' corner....I seem to recall that he would almost mystically always have his rounds come during calmer weather portions of the day when he was winning everything in sight. Perhaps that was just my impression because everything always seemed to go his way for the better part of a decade...Comment

Re: Jack's Record Is Safe
Another round where he comes out and biffs the first couple holes. Just doesn't have the same mental toughness he used to.Comment
