PS4 Pro, have owned every game in this series and I'm loving the challenge of this one. I also like the textures of the courses more in this version, with the rough looking so much better especially.

Still can't break Q school, tried 4 times out of the game on Pro settings, started off +14, last round was +4 so getting the hang of it, but still tough!!!

Playing my first match online right now with a friend. Haven't played a golf game since The Master Tiger game on the Wii with my chicken stick. Loving it so far. Putting is tough, but looks great (to me).

Why am I not seeing the vibration? Where is that setting to turn it off?

I saw a vibration setting but I assumed that turned off all vibration in the game? Are there other vibrations in the game besides the swing notification?

That’s the one. I believe that option turns it off the whole for the whole game.

About those putting problems, never mind. I got it figured out now. I'm really enjoying the game so far. It punishes me for bad shots and doesn't let me put the ball in the fairway every single time like other golf games. I can't wait to try to create a course!

I'm really excited to play all the lidar community courses when they start being imported.

Here are a couple of the issues I'm having:

Short putts are way to touchy, as mentioned several times on here.

The in-game commentary in local matches is absolutely horrendous. I'll probably play with it off. Is it better in PGA mode? I miss Feherty and McCord.

It seems like the putting distance is already measured for uphill or downhill putts. Am I right on this? Is there a setting to change it?

What is the difference between LB + left stick and LB + right stick?

I've only played a couple rounds so far so I'm sure I'll get everything figured out.

So far, so good.

Really impressed with all the changes and upgrades they made. Turned the bottom meter off pretty much right away and didn’t miss it at all on pro difficulty. Short putts are my lone concern, it’s really really touchy and feels jerky. I’ve played TGC 2019 up to this point so I’m sure an adjustment period is necessary.

The full swing feels like there’s some weight to it this time around and like you’re actually swinging a golf club. All the previous iterations were a bit too slow, a bit too video gamey. The speed and tempo in this game mirrors a real golf swing a bit more IMO.

All of the settings and customization is phenomenal plus all of the clothing added will not have me missing the color picker one bit.

I really wasn’t looking to buy anymore current gen games tbh but I’m glad I grabbed this one. Will there be some connection errors here and there, other bugs and glitches? Yea sure, but I’m excited again for the future of video game golf.

I got to say I am really enjoying the game. Love the challenge. Love the options to tinker with difficulty. I am playing with most assists off and it is so much better.

Career mode enjoyable. Hope they fix the bug with incorrect shot number showing for the PGA pro highlights.

Also society has bugged. I can't get back into my own society it just stays on the menu screen and you can't delete or create a new one. So that really needs fixing fast.

The game is awesome. My favorite golf game ever. The partial shots feel great once you get your swing calibrated.

Some room for improvement

- sound of the irons is super weak and clicky

- the golfer swing animation is terrible. He swings like a weekend hacker, not a pro. Clubface wide open at the top, coming down steep.

- it would be nice to sort ghosts by pin placement and tees played

- the replay angles could use some improvement. 2 of them don't even follow the ball

- the ball sometimes just disappears when not using the follow cam. Sometimes it practically glows against a clear blue sky, other times you can't see it once it's been hit, especially with ghost balls with turn order on

- not finding the licensed gear to be any better than the generic HB stuff. But I haven't gotten any sponsor's equipment so maybe that's where I'll notice

Otherwise just a fun golf game and a really great simulation of the game.

It's in the Training part of the main menu. Choose that and the game takes you to the driving range, then Swing Calibration shows up on the pause menu while you're in there. Then you just take 10 full swings as consistently as you can and you're done.

As for putting, I'm not having too much problem so far, aside from the occasional hard push to the right due to a bad downswing. I don't really think there's a tempo component to it like there is on regular shot-taking - the meter changes speed depending on how quickly you draw the putter back, but as long as you bring it through straight on impact you'll get a straight putt (not taking green break into account, of course).

My struggle so far has been with the full swing, as my mouse movement is pretty uncontrolled and inconsistent. Often I get a little bit of a draw with slight push to the right which is easy enough to adjust my aim to compensate for, but other times I'll just hit a dead pull to the left. Trying to figure out what the best swing difficulty will be for me taking that inconsistency into account.

Little bummed that there appears to be no golfer skill progression - just boosts/changes to golfer ability from clubs.

Im brutal at this game in nearly every facet...even on the lowest difficulty, I simply suck.
