Maybe the last gameplay vid in a while unless one of the other guys drops one. The Apex Hound plays Legend with Morikawa. You gotta admit the game doesn't look that bad.

Last comment. Either there is a problem with Unity or in the coding but you should not be able to hit a shot through bushes. You miss a fairway or green and are in the bushes you should have to hit sideways or backwards. Can't believe this is still being missed by the devs or the guys playing this build now. My guess is collision detection other than tree limbs is nowhere to be found.

Just saw that video posted elsewhere...a bit shocking that this was the hardest difficulty. He hits a very fast approach into Hole 3, and is still just 17 feet from the pin?

Slows and fasts are not nearly as penal from tee to green, it looks like. I wonder if it's connected to Morikawa's Skills or whatever...but he's hitting very slows and very fasts and still is getting eagle opportunities and is even staying in the fairway or light rough off the tee. The gray areas outside of perfect are huge, compared to 2K21.

IDK...this is actually a bit disappointing to me, if this is how the hardest difficulty of the game plays.

I don't have that much of a problem with the shot dispersion. If you watch Apex Hound's swing path quite a few are 6-12 nearly perfect straight lines. His speed might be off not his path. Watch Respawn play today on Master. Lots more bad misses due to swing path errors not necessarily speed errors. Maybe I'm wrong but I see plenty of misses from the other players on their videos.

That's incredibly disappointing if true

There are a variety of courses in Perfect Golf that suffer from this. It seems to be up to the designer and/or the Unity assets being used or something.

We have a term for it... "air trees" ...

It totally ruins a course for me if there is not the correct penalty for missing into hazards/trees/bushes/etc

If you have a few minutes watch Apex Hound's latest video from today. It is very early in the round misses the fairway way left and is behind a stand of bushes then hits the next shot right through them.

Just watched. Playing on Powerhouse. Looks too over powered drives just go too far even considering the possible penalties with that setting. Maybe they need to add another higher difficulty above Legend for the really good players?

I think even CC mentions that he thinks misses should be tweaked a bit, as they aren't as punishing as they should be. Given that he was on the Powerhouse archetype, I expected misses to be sprayed everywhere. And while some were well offline (at least more than they were on other Legend videos), there were still a lot of poor tempo shots that didn't go too far from where he was aiming, or as far as I expected them to go.

The fact he was able to string together enough decent shots to make this round a 76 was a bit surprising, as he really only seemed to hit good tempo shots off the tee.

This will also have a big impact on porting 2K21 courses over to 2K23...designers will have to totally adjust speeds to fit the way 2K23 seems to play.

Probably will take some getting used to but I always used more of an overhead putting camera. Suck anyway but at least you had some type of visual aid looking at the players feet in relation to how far to take the putter back. The game has obvious problems but for me it will still be a purchase.

Two examples - you can see the meter has moved up, and the swing animation hasn't started on either the chip or the putt:

Can't imagine playing without green grids on. Removing the scout cam alone would give me palpitations. What did you think of the shot dispersion in this round?
