Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
I stopped at 50 pages but I was able to go back that far in search by handicap section. Still missing a lot of underplayed very good courses that never get close to 300 plays.Comment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
It's also hilarious to go thru the pages of the HCP courses, only to see ones I had favorited (and say I have favorited in the course details page) and now don't show up in my favorited list anymore. This is just silly and a major pain in the you-know-what.
IDK, could be. But they also seem to have removed courses from the database, too. I can no longer find "Crystal Downs LiDAR" from theclv24, which used to be in my favorites, isn't anymore, and does not show up when you search for it.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 08-09-2023, 06:10 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
Just discovered that theCLV has re-published the missing Crystal Downs course under a different name...Frankfort Downs. However, the odd limit on the number of courses you can have in My Favorites still remains.
Another thing is that Season 4 of the Clubhouse Pass ends this Friday...and there's been no real mention of anything following it - no preview of new real courses or added pros, etc. Will be interesting to see if more content or another Season is still set to come out for 2K23, or if the well is starting to dry up. At this point, 2K23 has had twice as many Seasons of content than 2K21 had...Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 08-15-2023, 11:22 AM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
Is there a way to find clubs/communities that utilize different styles of play (especially what's used on-screen)? It's hard to tell from club names. Personally, I don't have the equipment to compete at the highest levels with all or most all of the visual aids off (which is imo the best sim experience), so I'd like to get in with some folks who might be at pro am or pro with aids off.Comment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
So I hadn't played career mode in a while, and just hopped back in to finish a season off at the Tour Championship. Following the event, I went in to set up the next season's schedule, which means I usually rotate the Northwest Open (the fake US Open) between Torrey Pines South, Pebble Beach, and Pinehurst No. 2.
Unfortunately, at some point following the release of Pinehurst No. 2, HB/2K have made it so that the Northwest Open host course is now locked in as Pinehurst No. 2. It is no longer editable, and the course cannot be swapped out.
What a bummer to have multiple US Open host courses in game, and they've now locked just the one in as the host for the game's equivalent event.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
Anyone know how to play as one of the guests you create only? Seems like you are "stuck" with your primary golfer and can't use/create any additional custom golfers to use solo.Comment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
I've never tried to play with more than one player, but I think you have to use your "MyPlayer" (or one of the playable pros/celebs) whenever you're playing solo, and the Guests are only playable if you're playing local multiplayer.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
The Kasota course is gorgeous! I've seen it in a couple of societies, which I'm getting into now that I've leveled up my player up to lv 50 in career mode to be competitive. The archtypes really matter, as do some attributes (like putt weight) which I enjoy since it adds some variety to the experience.
I'm wondering if there are any other solid societies outside of the TGC tours ecosystem yet in 2k23? I don't recall having as hard of time finding good societies in the previous game.Comment

I don't play in any of them (I used to play in the DAM one months ago and it was quite fun, but I am just not as good at the game as others are), so I cannot vouch for how active they are or what settings they play on.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
I'd like to see a society where you just use the pre-set pros, none of this legendary club fittings that makes higher levels more unforgiving. Of course, even with that, some players can still apparently use controllers that are more forgiving (which is why 3 click has always been more of an equalizer.)Comment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
I didn't say I though 3 click was easy. I said it's the equalizer since gamepads can behave differently (currently trying out 3 different game pads and it very apparent --- plus the ability to program game pads any longer).Comment

They have these controllers you can buy for the Xbox that supposedly narrow the gap between the PS controller and Xbox.Comment
