I think I've found my settings for when the game drops at the end of the month. Custom settings with 3 click swing is presenting a fair and balanced difficulty.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Here are a couple more videos from Respawn:

This one goes into more detail, showing some MyCareer screens for sponsorships, settings, followers, etc., as well as a look at online modes - https://youtu.be/8uus2UcRQkU?si=DFx2nmS8iRV5tn33

I am not that constant with swing stick, so i use Amateur swing difficulty, but everything else about hardest setting. Maybe Pro-am or Pro for swing stick if i buy full version. Now my results are -4 to +4 on easy demo course. Seems like good balance for me personally. I need really think my choices and approach, but not every shot go off fairway.

New EvoSwing is great improvement for game and even Perfect Swing is fun addition, could be useful if playing with PS Portal. I have tried every difficulty and they seems well made. People are saying Master and Legend are too easy, i trust them because they use them daily. And it doesn't affect my playing if they change those for more difficult.

PGA 2k25 seems surprisingly fun to play and interesting game to buy, but thats a lot of money and there are multiple big (non sports) games still coming this year. Maybe sale after some patches is the right choice.

Playing on anything above Pro with a low rated player is just punishing. Maybe with a player rated above 75-80 it'll be OK.

I was struggling with the Powerhouse so started a Technician & find the game playing good right through to legend. I do use vibration for backswing though but it’s on hard settings for everything else.

Not a fan of the new swing stick mechanics. Perhaps when I level up my character and clubs things will get better. Why do we have to choose between hook and fade? Why not just let me hit straight and bend the shot if I want to?

I'll buy the game but some of this wasn't necessary.

Sorry I forgot to check this the other day. Looking at it now...have the FSR set to 0%. I really don't seen much difference. I get maybe a little less of the hiccups that I saw when I had it set to 70%, but there still is some stuttering.

I then turned it up to 100%...again, I personally didn't notice any real difference. Stuttering is there still, but nothing else looks changed to me.

I don't have a real high-end TV, so maybe that's it? But that slider really doesn't feel like it does anything for me.

There actually are settings that allow you to play that way. Adjusting the "Swing Context Input Offset" to "Shot Shaping Only", and then having the "Swing Bias Input Offset" set to "Off" would give you that experience.

You can turn off the forced diagonal swing by turning Swing Bias Input Offset to Off in the settings, and can turn off/customize contextual diagonal swings (i.e. doing draw/fade or ball is above/below feet) with the Swing Context Input Offset in the settings. Online ranked will probably be forced diagonal no matter what but single-player you can customize it to your liking.

                      Edit: Jinx... lol

Lots of Spinner shots utilized in that round, it looks like it will be somewhere between pitch and flop on the forgiveness zone size. It seemed to one-hop stop around 4-7 yards after landing depending on the distance, and on downhill slopes it seems to roll a lot more after landing. Looks less powerful than EA's version at first glance (and like in EA, can't be used from the rough which is good), with EA you could aim it at the flag and get it to work almost every time unless you had a big tailwind or big downhill slope around the hole.

I was watching Apex stream, and he seemed to imply that if you level up each archetype separately to 85 you will then able to use all the shots/skills in a single build...? That seems very dumb and it would defeat the purpose of archetypes. If you play as a Magician you should not be able to use shot types/skills that are locked to other archetypes. Maybe I just misunderstood idk.

Respawn mentioned it in his Q&A video...He starts the video with discussion about it: https://youtu.be/A2sHGnXRcRE?si=eSCfVv3GiD403eMS&t=33

This is the bit that specifically calls out where you unlock the shot type for all archetypes - it says the same for all of the archetype-specific skills:

However, you still need to get other MyPlayers up to 85 before equipping it, and have to pay the skill points to access it.
