The version of Tiger that Apex shows has the same key attributes as the ones 2K revealed on Twitter (95 contact, 91 shaping, 92 swing path), maybe the overall calculation is different in the build he was playing. He only has 4 90+ attributes out of 12 total, if that's all it takes to get a 99 overall then the calculation must be jacked up in the final build. I already was mostly disregarding the overalls since they really mean nothing in a golf game.

Watched the new footage from Nextmakers & it would appear all courses play exactly the same.
Ball flight, bounce & rollout are identical from Royal Port Rush to Pebble Beach & to TPC Scottsdale. Is that HB’s plan because I’d read they implemented ball physics improvements?

I may be wrong, but I think only the shot types are the only thing that affect ball physics and ball flight. I think the the courses won’t have any effect.

I watched the two drives we got to see on Royal Portrush and the second in particular looked to me like it had more roll than on other courses. The first drive got ~35 yards of roll and the second drive had more than 50. The other official courses will probably all play similarly (they don't have several official links courses and slow ones like Harbour Town and Evian that EA all had), but my hopes are pretty high for Royal Portrush and eventually St. Andrews playing more true-to-life.

Is 2K25 going straight to gamepass?

Courses can be set to different firmness, so I'm hoping Portrush would be set to "Firm" or "Very Firm" on greens and fairways by default, and the TPC courses and such might be "Moderate". You can always adjust the firmness before starting a round, or in the MyCareer by playing on harder conditions settings.

I don't think there will be a system in place like EA had, however, where terrain types vary based on location, elevation, etc. One area that EA did well was differentiating the way a links course played vs. a inland resort course, for example.

This is from the OS Q&A with the 2K devs:

"But in terms of differentiation from one course to the next, it’s all a matter of how the course has been set up by whoever created it, whether it’s us or the course designer in the community creating custom UGC."

CrazyCanuck shared what fictional official 2K courses are in the game and how they are used in career mode:

One real life event, the BMW Championship, will be played at the fictional course, Hauteluce. The equivalent of the Masters is being played at the same course that was used in 2K23, Lone Grove Golf Course.

He said that all courses that are returning from the last game have been remodeled or updated for the new game.

That seems to cover replacements for all the existing PGA tour events they don't have except week 1 (Tournament of Champions), week 3 (American Express), and week 13 (Houston Open). The dev blog showed week 1 as being at TPC Boston, I would assume the other 2 may be at TPC Summerlin and Spyglass, or alternatively Pinehurst or Payne's Valley.

The PGA 2K25 website that lists all the courses does still say that TPC Summerlin hosts the Shriners Childrens Open in the game, even though the event doesn't exist anymore.

PGA TOUR 2K25 features some of the most iconic PGA TOUR courses, including three of the most storied Major Tournaments in all of their 2025 glory.

What’s your thoughts on the game ? Definitely plays a solid round for me but feel like I wanted more out of the game with a 2 plus year development cycle. More swings , new animations, better cameras etc.
Should be able to lock gameplay in from almost any angle if you can achieve them in custom replay why can’t we customise for gameplay?

I do wish they had more swings, and let you personalize a swing for your MyPlayer.

I've seen quite a few new animations already in the demo, especially reactions with the caddy, post shot picking up the tee, pointing fore right or left, and things like that.

Cameras are fine, I'm OK with what they have. I have enjoyed using the broadcast cameras in the demo...it feels more like watching a TV presentation.

I think what is shown in the demo is a fairly significant change from 23 to 25...the change from 21 to 23 was minimal IMO. The terrain physics are improved (no more sticky fringe!), the short game is more challenging, and I like the Evo Swing.

I do hope they correct the horrible putting sound effect, and fix the choppy framerate on PS5. I'm holding my breath on how the progression will work, in terms of how easy the game will get once we get 90+ OVR players with full skills and club fittings. I'm also curious to see how the in-game economy works and how much of a grind it will be.

I have been playing on Legend and find the game to be tough. But hitting a good shot is quite rewarding.

So, some positives, some issues, and some unknowns still. But I am having fun playing it...other than getting really bored of TPC Scottsdale!

I've been playing some rounds on Legend and still enjoying it. With my Tactician golfer I've managed +4, +3, and -2. I'll probably end up starting on Legend in my first MyCareer. Clearly Tactician is far and away the best starting out, will be interesting to see if/how that changes as we level our golfers up and how much fittings allow weaknesses to be made up. It sounds like the high-level boosts will come with a reduction in some stats (maybe +6 power comes with -2 contact), which sounds less concerning than I had initially thought.

My biggest problems with gameplay rn would probably be the ball audio and why it still doesn't make grassy sound when I land in the heavy rough, and the forced auto-distance aim on putts. I would kill for some more sim options like the profile view EA had that allowed us to read uphill/downhill on our own and always having that low camera view even with scout cam off so reading greens with no green grid would be more possible. The green elevation prominence looks actually solid in this game, I could probably do green grids off and allow scout cam on and around the green only.
