I honestly think the patch broke the evo-swing. I now hit straight up and down and hitting perfect perfect and no I’m not playing on Perfect Swing. Swing Bias is on and Swing Context Input Offset is on as well.

I played some today and straight back and forth for me produced expected results (big pushes w/fade bias). Maybe it's a glitch that you happen to be affected by?

Pre-ordered Standard. $70 is as high as I go for a video game. Looking forward to starting up a new career mode in a couple weeks. Planning to go with Legend difficulty right out of the gates and work my way up. Will probably be on the Korn Ferry tour for quite a while.

I too preordered the Standard edition. Then the thought of being able to play the game in six or less days led me to cancel my original order and buy the next-higher version. Came out to be $105, 30 dollars more.

For $30 at the grocery store I can get a dozen eggs, a gallon of milk, cheese, olives, pepper and hot sauce. And a roll of bagels.

Gobble that up in a day or two or get early access for 2K5.

I'm really not that hungry. What is now a limit of $70 used to be only a few years ago a limit of $40.

I play Master. PS5. Hit me up if you're looking for a game, when that time comes.

Has anyone not noticed a difference in the lighting since the last patch? I was playing it yesterday and I thought the colors looked richer. Then I noticed things looked less washed out and I was seeing more detail the many of the course objects. I also noticed that my golfer was casting his shadow towards 6 o-clock, on the first tee, whereas prior to the latest patch, he was casting his shadow towards 3-clock there!?

I played 3 nine hole rounds yesterday and I noticed that all had a more believable lighting look than what I'd seen before. I checked the course details panel and it still showed "noon" time setting, but ever before and after the patch, the golf casts much longer shadows than I'd expect for noon!?

I'm just curious to see if any one else is seeing this?

Thanks for confirming that... does in enhance your enjoyment of the demo? I know it did mine.... well, that and turning of rhythm in the putting game. I feel a bit cheesy turning it off, but I feel like I'm swinging a hollow plastic club at a steel ball with the EvoSwing putting stroke in its default Pro settings. Just turning the rhythm OFF in the putting actually seemed to restore some "mass" to the putter, and I'm making more solid and consistent contact with it now. Hopefully as I'm build my golfer I'll be able to add enough putter weight and putter rhythm attributes to make the rhythm easier to manage in this department. The feedback needed for a good rhythm is just not their in my Technician archetype golfer.

A bit mixed on the "2k shoutouts & thx", especially given the marginal cost of basically "$0" to 2k ... in exchange for tons of free pub.

I guess it highlights how biased the content is likely to be

Yeah, I don't think getting a review copy deserves a public thank you. The point is to actually review it, not feel like you are a special person somehow.

The video game review space is so strange tho. IGN won't be playing this game for more than like 10 hours, whereas these youtubers will be putting in like 50-100 hours. So who do we trust? There's zero integrity.
