Yeah, I don't think getting a review copy deserves a public thank you. The point is to actually review it, not feel like you are a special person somehow.

The video game review space is so strange tho. IGN won't be playing this game for more than like 10 hours, whereas these youtubers will be putting in like 50-100 hours. So who do we trust? There's zero integrity.

I don’t fully agree with your points.
Firstly 2K couldn’t have been more transparent & upfront with 2K25. They’ve given us full visibility of the game within that demo 9. Obviously full release is going to be deeper in content but the visuals & gameplay experience will be identical.
A Nextmaker at this point is only going to confirm whether your purchase decision is the right one of going early and paying premium or going standard and getting the same game with no fluff, but predominantly now it’s about them elevating there own platforms. ( Asside from the very obvious 2K Shill’s most are actually active content creators making a living)
I say good luck to them & thanks for keeping me in the know until release on the 28th. Looking forward to the Respawn opinion & I vaguely remember Gdog being okay with opinion but the rest aren’t reliable. Interested on the two designer opinions of Canuck and the well spoken Englishman B101 or whatever it is.
I’d rather listen to a review from those lads than some golf noob on IGN who thinks Perfect mode is the highest difficulty…..🤣

Nobody should ever feel like they are being negative, or cynical for pointing out what you just did, especially the last sentence. It's just the influencer/marketing world we're in now and have been for years at this point.

I'll say it again...2k appears to have added a LOT to the 2k23 game within the very frustrating limits of still being on the same base code and the Unity engine. But boy, do I hope all of you who are diving in love it, and I hope it is the most successful release of the entire HB golf series.

All of us, every one of us, NEEDS this game to sell well, be successful, and give (hopefully) a couple of million+ people around the world true enjoyment playing this game and supporting it.

That outcome should therefore drive and fund continuous improvement from 2K, to set all of us up for what we are hoping is the golf game that should truly reflect 2026/27 advancements in technology, platform horsepower, and *especially* decades of trial and error and a real understanding of what it takes to make a truly great golf sim.

If for nothing else than selfish reasons, that's for sure what this guy is hoping for.

I’ve always taken these posts as a type of brag like “haha I’ve got the game first before you did” when we all know 2k sends them early copies. Give it two to three weeks then the real reviews will come out.

Gameplay is engaging & It’s fun to play.
As for graphics I can’t see it being any different from what we’ve seen on YouTube & that’s disappointing but expected. I’ll just have to sit further from the screen to trick my eyes.

Responding again, as I just saw elsewhere that the embargo on videos/streaming/reviews lifts at 6 a.m. eastern time on Thursday morning.

Sounds like some content folks already have videos set to go for things like course creation tutorials...some of the course designers already have new courses set to publish in 2K25, due to them getting the game early.

I have seen much high resolution video & played in glorious 4K on a high end OLED & the visual fidelity is not there.

And would you mind dropping the attitude as it’s only discussion.

Same man. Doesn’t look all that different from 2K23. A little more crisp but definitely not gorgeous by any means.

You played EA's golf game I imagine. Do you think that looks better than this?
