I had to disable advanced graphics when you set it up. But my MacBook will run everything on full at 70-80 fps with the advanced graphics disabled, which I think is shadows and reflections. Really impressed with this and my road racing is a lot better now that I'm not running at 20 fps

Re: iRacing
Does anyone elses car twitch? I set would my wheel rotation to 900, My FFB in game was 20 and when going down straights the wheel would rock with the slightest movement. I move the FFB down to about 10 and it felt better, but i still it get a little. Is it sappose to do that?Aaron

Re: iRacing
Wow, now that I can run the road courses, not only am I faster but I enjoy it a whole bunch more. The Slowstice races are a lot better than the Legend races and I have been finishing top 5 if I don't wreck myself on the road courses.Comment

Re: iRacing
Couple of cool things from iRacing today.
First, John Prather, a sim racer and someone who up until the last month or so had never been in a real race car, will be running the VW Jetta TDI Cup race this weekend at Road America.
They also posted an overhead picture of their scan of Brands Hatch. I'm just linking to it because it's pretty big and I don't want to post a smaller version and lose quality.

Re: iRacing
I've been on the fence about iRacing for quite some time. I found a free month's membership at a racing forum that I visit. I'm feeling kinda overwhelmed with the interface. I'm running practice laps and getting a feel for everything. My game is running at 59 FPS. I have a Logitech MOMO wheel.
I'm really wanting to get into sim racing in greater depth but really struggling with iRacing. I'm usually really good with racing games: Rfactor, GTR Evolution, NASCAR 2003. Any suggestions on the quickest way to step up. I always race clean and right now I'm kinda struggling with this wheel with iRacing. Any suggestions on your setup with a MOMO will is greatly appreciated. Thanks.Comment

I ALMOST CANNOT TAKE THIS PRICING ANYMORE!
I cannot believe have already spent $322 on tracks and cars + $50 for 3 months which is almost up! I feel like i am getting ripped off. What if they just shut down tomorrow and that its, i am done money gone thanks see you later, and i am never done paying for this!
although
This is just about everything i want it to be. The cars are relatively easy to drive for me. It fun as hell. This is exaclty which i always wanted, online (sim) racing which i can be somewhat competitive, that's fun and has a matching making like setup. So i think it worth it.
I just look at it like golf, you pay 400-600 for some nice clubs and then pay every time you play, or for a period of time.Comment

Re: iRacing
I'm currently at $804, and that doesn't include the $110 I spent on a new wheel, or $2-300 on some computer parts. Sounds crazy I know, but I can't run another sim anymore because they all feel lacking, and I need my sim racing fix. I'm addicted.
I can't see them doing that any time soon. With the money John Henry has spent on it (Over $20 million), as long as they're making enough money to pay their bills (Payroll, website costs, servers, that kind of thing), I don't see him wanting to shut it down.Comment

Re: iRacing
Thanks for replying Chaos and GBX. I think that I just need more seat time. I'm doing the time trials and getting a better feel for the Legends car. My lap times are hovering in the 17's though at Lanier with the rookie setup. I think this game is just humbling me on my driving skills.
Chaos: The wheel seems a bit twitchy. I think that might be because of force feedback so been diagnosing that issue over this weekend.Comment
