    Re: iRacing

Haven't had any time to get alone and put in a single race so far, managed to squeeze in 14 laps during an online practice (1:41.6) and got a better feel for passing cars.

      Re: iRacing

Well I ran a race today. Finished 5th but could of finished in the top 3. I got dumb and spun out while I was leading early and then a car spun in front of me, and I decided to slow down incase he slid across the track and he ended up hitting me. I didn't slow down enough and rammed right into him. Dumb move on my part. I'm getting better in the Skippy though. I can't run your setup Mike. I'll spin. So I decided to accept being slow and not spinning out as much.

        5th isn't bad, I'll take that lol

Does the car feel too tight for you or what?

If you keep with road racing you will. Like I said in my PM awhile back, I was extremely slow at road racing when I started. I just stayed with it and worked on getting faster and I picked up speed.

Up the front tire pressures and give it a shot. I can't remember what they were set at, but try 28 or so. I might also try lowering the spring perch. I think it's at 6, so try it at 4 or 3.

            Re: iRacing

I'm running the front TP at 26, the back TP at 23, and the ARB at 8, and that works like a charm for me. I'm not too fast, but I can throw the car around and keep hold of it. Dang curb and low frame rate caused me to spin last race.

I don't know if you guys have tried any laps at Summit Point, but here's a replay.

I think I'm taking a break from road racing until I get a better computer. So it's legends and late models for me now.

I want this game so damn bad...I wish I could afford it.

EDIT: Also, can you get away with using a cheap wheel/pedals for this?

If the wheel steers both directions and gas/brake works, then its fine.

Nice...from what I was reading they made it sound like you needed to get a really nice/expensive wheel for this.

A wheel with force feedback will definitely make the sim more enjoyable but you dont need it.

Nice...I saw some good deals for the force feedback wheels so I may check into those.

Another concern I had was performance. I have a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop that I got in June of last year, and I know nothing about specifications, so would this run fine with it?

ok it might be able to run it at low graphics, will update this with any other responses i get.
