"Why are you having such a hard time learning to turn the steering wheel at the right time? Don't you drive in the real world?"

    "Come on!"

"You my friend, are a moron."
Lol online practice with that mic chatter would be awesome

        Re: iRacing

Here's my setup and a replay of the Skip Barber at Laguna.

It's five or so laps of me gradually picking up time. Some bobbles along the way, but this should give you an idea of how I progressively work my way up and gain a little speed here and there. I'm pretty sure I could knock at least another half second or so off of my fast lap, but I'm starting not to see straight and as you can tell by the replay wasn't driving too well either. <<< That's me.

You'll notice I'm running 2.x gallons. That's only for testing, if you do a race, make sure up that to 3.1. Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, if the setup is too loose for you, try upping the front tire pressures a couple clicks. It should settle things down a little bit.

I hope this helps you guys, and if you have any questions, just ask.

Turns 2 and 4 are the ones I need to work on, especially 4 since its an uphill and at times I lose the momentum.

Turn 1: down to 2nd, Turn 2 you're up to 3rd gear but downshift to 2 for the corner and back up to 3rd before Turn 3- right?

Found a simple pedal modification this guy did for his DFGT brake and it's helped me with over braking- feels a bit more stable to me.

JC I saw you had a race yesterday in the Skip Barber, how was the racing?

I can't decide on a color scheme for the car, every day I keep changing it.

I'd recommend taking Turn 1 in first gear. I wasn't doing it last night for some reason, but I probably should have been. Yes, down to second to take turn 2, then back up to third for turn three.

I've thought about doing something similar to my momo pedals, just never bothered to do so. I'm sure it would probably help as I struggle with braking at times.

Cheap sponge pad cut in half, stacked together and taped. I'm really liking the feel for the brake now.

I'm just checking after running my second skippy race. I love it, I can't even explain. I'm not the fastest guy but still finished 5th. I ran off course barely twice and got 1x's and then got hit by another car and got a 4x but other than that I ran clean. I love this road racing stuff. I just wish my computer could handle it.

Yeah VIR with the skippy is fun, takes alot of time to learn how to drive it without overdriving it. I've been working on the star mazda thsi season so i can hardly drive the Skip barber now because im use to the downforce now through the corners. But when i did run the skip barber it was a blast.

Yeah, I'm trying to work on getting faster and running like Mike did, but I just spin. I guess I'll continue being slow and pass everyone when they spin out lol

I've come to the conclusion I'll never see 1:39 at Laguna with the Skip Barber, I spin out too when trying to pick up those extra seconds.

I might actually get in a race or two today, depends on how much family is coming over.

Fastest I have ran is a 1:44 but I don't even care. I haven't been doing half bad in the races. I'll probably run 2 or 3 races today.
