    Force India on pole!

Not extremely light either, 4th quick in Q2, 4th quick with fuel adjusted lap times.

I missed Q this morning. I was watching Speed late last night and found out they were broadcasting all this and wanted to watch it since no NASCAR this weekend. Well I slept way too late for Q and I'll have to get up really early to catch the race tomorrow.

That was a great finish at Chicagoland tonight in the IRL tonight. Chicagoland is really a great track for Indy Cars to race at. It makes for some really good racing.

It's a shame that Cousin Carl and Ambrose wrecked before the Rolex race at Montreal even got started today. I was looking forward to seeing them in there. I watched it, anyways, though. The finish wasn't too exciting, though, with the winner winning by 30+ seconds due to keeping his rain tires on when other guys opted for the slicks.

Yeah that IRL race was awesome. Man that three-wide racing in those last ten laps was exciting to see.

With Jorge Lorenzo winning at Indy, the MotoGP standings have become wide open again because of Valentino Rossi getting a DNF and Dani Pedrosa finishing at a lower position due to suffering a crash. It should be an exciting series of races going down the stretch between these guys along with a recovering Casey Stoner.

Wow... what an unfortunate crash by Lewis Hamilton at Monza. He was all but guaranteed to achieve a podium finish but lost control of his car with only a few scant laps to go. Meanwhile, it's like old times for the Brawn Mercedes team as Barrichello and Button finishes 1-2 again.

Holy ####! Briatore and Symonds leave Renault, and Renault won't dispute the allegations made against them.

I thought something would happen but I didn't think it would be this, and I didn't think it'd happen before the hearing.

BUSTED. Briatore's and Symonds' careers are over in F1.

The F1 door can't hit Briatore in the butt quickly enough. He never has appreciated the sporting aspects of motor racing; it was just another marketing and business exercise for him. Plus his insouciant playboy act had worn really thin with me this decade.

I'm sad to see Symonds leave F1. He always seemed to be a calm, rational, decent man, and is a brilliant tactician and technical mind. A real motor racing man. I loved his interviews with Holly Samos on The Chequered Flag BBC podcasts.

The big question now is how the Renault board will react to this. Renault boss Carlos Ghosn is a notorious axe-wielder, and Renault teetered on the edge of F1 pullout a few years ago.

Will this PR hit to the integrity of the company be too much for Ghosn and the board to take, especially with automakers worldwide looking to trim costs any way they can?

Crazy pictures of the Patron Highcroft Acura from Petit Le Mans today. Somehow Scott Sharp walked away.

My goodness! That car got f'ed up. It's good to know that Scott Sharp was able to walk away from that.

Anyone else catch the ending to Indy Lights race today?

I really thought Romancini had made his move early, but he got the sling shot to work off 4.
