Not sure how it managed to sneak up on me, but the Monaco GP is in 5 hours or so.

Jorge Lorenzo is slowly but surely becoming the best Moto GP rider out. That guy can ride man I am impressed. I know it's early but the Doctor has a serious team mate battle.

Kanaan barely got in. Qualifying was pretty interesting. Interestingly, there's like 7 or 8 Brazilians in the race.Comment

F1: seems that the US Grand Prix will be returning in 2012. they will be apparently going to Austin, Texas to a brand new track that will be built mostly for F1. the deal is supposedly going to be good from 2012-2021. I read about it in a local news paper here, so no link though I'm sure it's around the net somewhere. don't think it set in stone yet though. seems odd to me that F1 would go to Austin though.Last edited by Solidice; 05-26-2010, 06:58 PM.Comment

Texas. Why Texas? Texas makes me think of big 4x4s, made-in-America, gun racks,Cadilacs, stars & stripes, drive through liquore stores, big belt buckles, rubbin' is racing and cowboy hats.....the last thing I associate with Texas is open wheel cars and a list of international drivers.Comment

Jorge Lorenzo is the real deal. He owned the 250cc league before making the jump to the MotoGP bikes a few years ago, and he's been making his presence known ever since. Fiat Yamaha has certainly become a formidable team with he and Valentino Rossi racing for them.
Also, Ben Spies has shown some promise despite the problems he had at Jerez and at Le Mans this past weekend.
But I think I am more surprised at how much Casey Stoner has been struggling with his Ducati this year. I cannot put a finger on what's going on with him.

The World Superbike Championship series has been off the chain this year with various riders claiming wins, podiums and poles. I can honestly say that there really isn't any clear-cut favorite to take it all. It's going to come down to which team has the most reliable bikes and also which riders will stand out to become the most consistently quick of the bunch.

This has been a great year for 2 wheel racing, even the 125cc race was good and action packed til the end. Pol Espargaro looks like he has that "it" factor, but it is still early so lets see.GT: BIG CAROLINA23

Anybody watch FP2 from Turkey today? WebBer had an engine issue and then when they got the car off the track he kept trying to tell the marshalls to put something behind the wheels so the car would stop moving. Took the marshalls about five minutes before they figured out what he was trying to say and put a fire extengisher behind the front wheel.Comment
