Re: F1/IRL/All Other Forms of motorsports Thread
Pretty good race tonight. I thought for sure that Briscoe would win even after Castroneves passed him via pit road considering how dominant Briscoe was earlier in the race. Castroneves' team must have made some great adjustments to improve that car enough to stay ahead of Briscoe for the final run.Comment

Oh, and I will say this about the IndyCar / Texas race. Oval racing - especially a track over a mile long - are as much fun to watch as cars on the freeway.
Best of all about last nights race - VS saved up all their commercial breaks for the end. So after the last yellow came out and cars actually got together side by side, VS had everyone watching Best Buy commercials.Last edited by lnin0; 06-07-2009, 12:43 PM.Comment

Just another note, NHRA is in town, I didn't do go see it, but I live close by, and just love hearing the engine roars every few minutes.Comment

Yeah, the Le Mans 24-hour race should be a good one. It's too bad that the GT1 class is going to lose a lot of luster now since Aston Martin has moved on and focused its attention on the P1 class. The Chevy Corvette C6.R and Aston Martin DBR9 had formed a fierce rivalry in the GT1 class, and that's going to be missed. The battle for supremacy in the P1 class should be better, though.

I expect Speed TV to show most of the Le Mans race like the network usually does. The race is scheduled to start at 3pm local (French) time which is 9am ET, but there will likely be a pre-race show going on for an hour or so prior to the event.
