Should have known better than to do street stocks at Charlotte. Even in C class that's a **** show. People wrecking left and right and some douche that was as wreckless as can be. My spotter said clear, so I go down, he turns me. After the race, he wrecks me. Guess I won't be doing those much any more.

Got it working, it works even better than Project Cars did. Can't wait to get some NiS with this thing on and the NSM on Tuesday, I am going to have an exciting next 7 days.

Tonight's Darlington NiS race is going to be a disaster. Can't wait!

EDIT: 28.1 in qualifying. PB lap, which is surprising, since I usually butcher qualifying. It's going to be about survival tonight.

I watched some of the top split open race last night. Still amazing how horrible the racing can be even in the top splits.

Well I was going to do the 4:45 GMT Fixed A race but only 7 other people were signed up and 8 people for 90+ laps around Darlington didn't sound very fun so I withdrew. Hopefully I can get in a race Monday as I won't be around my race computer this weekend.

Also, I might have to go back on that whole no road content thing. Seeing the Corvette DP teaser video got me all excited and I might end up buying it.

Well I lied, signed up for a race tonight and finished 2nd in the top split.

                Re: iRacing after 2+ years

Both Darlington NiS races I ran in were a disaster. I just got wrecked with 10 to go in today's and got a DNF. Oh, well. I hate racing at tracks where it's so difficult to pass. There were three of us back-to-back-to-back and the guy in front of me hit the wall on exit of T2, and I rammed him, and then got punted into the inside wall by the racer behind me. Can't really blame anyone for it. Just a racing thing.

In Thursday night's race, I ended up screwing myself over by missing pit road entry and then when I tried to back up, the car shut off for some reason. 1 minute tow later, I was 3 laps down and limped home to 15th.

Looks like I'll end up 19th today. I was running 12th right behind 11th place when the wreck happened. I actually ran in the top 5 for a lot of the early portion of the race before I hit the wall, which seemed to make the car a little more loose than I'd like.

No idea why this happened I assume? I was spectating you when it did and at first I thought you ran out of gas, but then I realized your engine didn't sputter or anything.

I don't know. It was weird. Of course, I probably shouldn't have tried to back up in this first place, but pit road entry is so far off the track, anyways. I tried to turn the car back on, but it wouldn't fire and then I panicked and took a tow, which turned out to be a lot longer than I expected to be. That's what I get for not practicing a single pit road entry prior to the race...

I saw a replay of my wreck from Saturday on Abrams' channel and that was a wicked hit on the inside wall. That would've hurt.

Anyways, I can't wait to give the NSM a try this week at Richmond! I think the stock cars are getting NTMv6, as well.

Yeah, I think I'm going to run NiS this week. Guessing not Thursday as I want to watch the carnage first, but probably Sunday. I've always enjoyed Richmond so between that, dynamic tracks, and the v6 of the NTM it should be fun.

Hopefully there will be plenty of hosted races so we can get some practice in under race conditions.

Finally bought the cup car. So may try and run my first NiS race this week since I really like Richmond. Just not sure which one I can make yet. Lol

Well, thanks to superjames and his thread on the iRacing forums, the build is now delayed 24 hours. Now being released Wednesday. Disappointing, but ahh well, it happens. At least we found out today and not tomorrow.

That stinks but with this being week 13, I'll be spending more time doing the figure eight and the short track madness with the DW12. As long as its 100% ready and good to go by week 1, I'll be content.

I got myself so I can get my road license to B. Which means I will farm SR and be running the F1 car next season. Looking forward to some fun road racing. I did some time in the Skippy but I was wanting some longer races. Also it will feel good to be competing at the top level in road racing.

                                Woo Week 13 iRacing!

Drove a car (The Kia) I had about 5 full laps in, at a track (Brands Hatch) I haven't touched since it was released like 5 years ago. What could possibly go wrong?

Not much as it turns out, but I ended up off track a bunch which is exciting, and was relatively close to another driver for the entire race, so here you go.
