I've been hung up on road course races. Ovals seems boring to me now. Doing the Skippy around Barber Mo Park is a blast! I would vote for doing an OS hosted race in the Skippy using a track everyone has.

I'm going to try to race tomorrow night in the 8 PM EST (5 PM PST) race, though I can't guarantee it.

I did the Daytona 2.4 last night. It was a lot of fun. I ended up 13th out of 29 cars in my split (I drove the RUF). I came close to hitting the 22-incident limit at the end, but I survived. I spun out a few times early on and picked up a lot of careless 1x off-tracks towards the end, but I never made any contact with any other cars and I was fairly pleased. I'm still trying to improve my road-racing craft and I'm planning on racing the RUF this season.

Daytona isn't a great track, but it's good for a 2 1/2 hour race because it gives you plenty of time to relax on the oval sections.

Congrats, James! That is an awesome finish. I tested but couldn't participate because of real life commitments.... Maybe next year. (Watching the last hour of the 24hr Rolex and it seems there will be a cool finish.)

Anyone interested in an OS Hosted iRace this Friday @ 6pm PST? Thinking of doing a 1hr. practice session followed by a 30-40 min race at Bathurts using the newly released RUFs. Please reply to this post if you are interested. Thanks, guys.

Kind of the same response I had before when talking about iRacing leagues last year.

Personally, I don't have the RUF or any of the newer content, and signed up again to dabble with it a couple of days ago. But I haven't actively driven in it for months, so buying a bunch of new content isn't something I'm going to do right now.
