Re: OS Forza Motorsport 4 Ladder: Interest / Sign-Up / Discussion Thread
Hoo,
Just a suggestion, but could we do all stock next week, preferably with the same car? Reason being, I think player skill sets would really shine in a setup like that.
It would make for some great racing and puts everyone on an equal playing field.Comment

If anyone wants a solid S class car, I recommend picking up a 99 Lotus Elise. The car is a beast and really fun to drive. Another car I am having a ball with, is the Lancia Delta in B class.Comment

I flat out sucked last night. The only reason I came in 6th on the last race was because Chris kept losing control of the car. Plus I think he spun out on purpose a couple times on Road Atlanta so I could pass him, and then he could pass me againAre you guys doing your own tunes? Buying tunes? I just can't keep up. Any tips? I was at least 4-5 seconds slower per lap than the rest of you.

I don't use a tune, I'm just to lazy to mess with them but work with your assists too. Those always help you get faster.Comment

1. Run a Race
2. Check the leaderboard for that race
3. Buy the car most consistent on the leaderboard
4. Buy the highest rated tune.. Usually for several classes
5.Walla.. You sir are competitive...
And.. practice is never a bad ideaComment

I like the idea of a stock-only race. I'm thinking Corvettes.
As to tuning, I'm still figuring it out. I've got one Viper in my garage in a good place (honestly, the Viper is probably my best car), but I also have duds like that Class D Nissan 240SX which was nowhere near competitive.
I also spend too much time painting vinyls, lol. The lack of actual recent track time on my end is evident in how out of control I was in the second race with the Ferrari; the third race wouldn't have mattered even if I had practiced, as I simply don't have the precision with the throttle to have any prayer of controlling that Sagaris. Which is no longer my car, by the way.Comment

When you guys are racing in the league online, is there a restriction as to what assists you can use? The only assist I use is the "preferred line" assist or whatever it's called, because I have a hard time seeing upcoming corners on my 27" TV, lol. I don't think I'd be competitive without it. I really need to upgrade my TVComment

Fair warning, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it tomorrow. Work is stupid-busy right now, which on one hand is good because I enjoy my work but on the other hand is unfortunate because it may keep me from leading this tomorrow evening.
In the event that I'm not here to host, I'll still record race results in the spreadsheet if one of you wants to keep track and then PM em to me.Comment
