.... With all that said, the one thing I can confirm 100% is that the game is really fun and the AI is much much better than last year. This feels like a game that will get plenty of spin time in the system for months.

A big downer for me will be the no AIs online. (To be confirmed by Bob.) If that's the case, It will be a big downer since racing online vs. AIs was the way we played other NASCAR titles and made it interesting.

Can you play a multiplayer (two player) season mode(offline on the same system)?

and if yes, are there 43 cars in the field when there is 2 human players

Yes I did...Just raced a 20 lapper again at Michigan w/o qualifying. I moved it to normal(yes I said normal) and saw Keselowski, Harvick, and Kenseth all grab the lead in the final 5 laps. Racing clean and realistic, I was able to fight my wy to 19th from 43rd. A lot of damn fun and cool to see some cars in packs and some shooting to the the inside solo.

There doesn't appear to be an option for this. I also have all the developer notes that came with my copy and there is no mention of this in all 6 pages I received

When playing offline exhibition or quick play races or whatever it's called can you adjust settings so you get pitstops in short lap races or do you need to play longer laps? Thanks.

Stormy, its gives you and option to up the fuel/tire usage to 5x so you can at least get 1 in during a shorter race.

Okay thanks for the info. In the last game I would play exhibition mode but couldn't have short races with pitstops. Also is the framerate solid? Thanks again.

Just a couple quick questions for a newbie. 1) is it better to play with stick controller or the wheel? 2) ill be playing ps3 version. What is the best wheel to use with the ps3 and where can i get it? Thanks in advance! I will be picking this up after work and voting today....psn is tacosaban if anyone wants to race. For sheer enjoyment and better control, it is ALWAYS better to play a racing game with a wheel.

As for the wheel, it's a case of you get what you pay for. I'd recommend the Logitech DFGT which runs about $100 bucks and is a solidly built wheel which can be found on amazon.com.

Wow, the general positivity so far over at the official site's boards is amazing. In particular, compared to NTG11.

If they've got one at Gamestop, I'll get it an hour when I pick up Halo 4 for my son.

If you enjoyed last years game just a little even with all the flaws, then Dan you should really get some enjoyment out of this title. Dave and Co. have a done a great job this year. It's not a perfect title, but the jump from last year to this year is quite an accomplishment.

The more I play this game, the more I want to keep playing it. Had a great race at Daytona in which I had to do a little bump drafting, a little solo, and two car tandem and it was incredibly fun.

That's great, Bob. Seems to be the thing this year; people are playing the game and want to keep playing lol. That is a very good sign of a fun game.
