Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
What a beautiful looking game!!
This years game is a huge improvement over last years. Your car seems heavier, and bumping into each other at Daytona doesn't affect you as much as last years. Last year when someone bumped you, you would fish tail and be out of control, this year you are more stable. Steering is the first thing that I noticed. It is alot easier to control your car in the middle of the pack.
Online is horrible. I hit the pace car in turn 2 by the wall. Yes, the Pace Car was on the track. And no, there was no caution at the time.
Green flag racing is incredible, easily the best Nascar game ever.
I'm sure they are working on a patch, but this is a must buy if you enjoy Nascar or even last years game.Comment

The developers have suddenly gone silent over at their own forums because they know...if you want to run anything more than a 5 lap race with some realism, you can't!
They need serious patching which may not even help.
Got my money and yes, I am a bit angry.Comment

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
PLEASE this is BS! the AI run in a conga line on half the tracks and will NOT pass anyone. The AI does not know how to pit, they all pit at the same time on green flag stops, they crash going into pits and coming out. The AI runs the same line all the time. When driving with a wheel, cars are extremely loose in a pack and crash. This game is a disappointment since many of these problems were present in the first nascar game.

If you're angry, you should have waited a day or two and see how it is. The game isn't that bad. Restricter plate tracks are bad, but the other 29 or so are fun.Comment

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
Overall I like the game, but as I play it I see more and more things wrong with it. It's a shame too, because it has so much potential top be a great game. I love the racing at Daytona and Talladega, I am having a blast racing at those 2 tracks, except for the brake checking.
Also I was running a race at Atlanta last night and every time we had a restart as we went into turn 1 the whole field in front of me would hit there brakes hard, and I would slam into the back of the car in front of me. After 3 times in a row I stopped hitting the gas at the green flag and just let the car roll into the corner until every one started going. Of course you would get passed by a bunch of cars.Comment

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
I think the issue of "brake checking" is a tough one to question. I've seen it happen, absolutely. However, who's to say it's not happening because someone got loose at the front of the pack and had to check up, maybe there was some contact between two cars that from our vantage point, we can't see. Surely that would result in everyone checking up a bit. Are we sure that's not what's going on here? Just curious if that may be the issue?Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
I am all about honesty and being real when it comes to giving my opinion. I have a love/dislike (not hate) relationship with this game.
All that I will say is that all of the good reports are true and can be validated...... but the same holds true for the bad reports.
if online is all that you are after from this game then I would have to say with all honesty to just wait until things are sorted out. The racing is great once the field gets going but its just ugly up until that point and in between that point.
I am not speaking for all who have played the game. This is just my small point of view from what I have seen so far.
Could it be that the A.I settings are just set for Plate Races which could lead to the conga line train that we see? If so that can be fixed (atleast I hope so)
I really noticed this at Phoenix. It Looked like they were (A.I) racing at Dega or Daytona the way they were lined up.GT: BIG CAROLINA23

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
Fair enough. That's what I was wondering. I guess now we know for sure. Thanks guys!
Makes you wonder though, how an issue that plagued last year, is still evident this year. Not to get to negative here, because I really do enjoy the game, I have noticed this issue myself, but usually only in big packs, hence the reason I was wondering.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
uggggh, I should of waited a few weeks, but initial impressions were either BS or not enough testing done. These are some serious issues popping up.
1. Pit strategy by AI - entering and exiting as well
2. Brake checking by AI when not necessary
3. No DNF's
I hope they fix these 3. I will go back to F1 till next patch comes out I guess.Comment
