Do not try a USB to XBOX adapter. Those were made for linux use. An unmodded Xbox will not recognize it as a wheel. The xbox plug is a modified usb, but steering wheels and light guns have an extra wire that the regular usb doesn't have. However, the DFP does work with your PC, but you probably already knew that. Anyways, I'm just trying to save you a couple dollars on that adapter, if you were thinking of trying it out.

Thanks laforr77, after your comment and further research (google) it seems to be highly unlikely that this will work. I'll cancel my order for the adapter.

Such a BUMMER!! B/c I love this wheel so far. Man I am a little upset now. I thought there was hope for it. And I will have to get a wheel for the Box when Forza releases. Especially if its ANYTHING like this DFP! I have never, i repeat never, used a wheel, and I am in HEAVEN!!! Probably gonna be a must have for every racing game i own on both consolses. Now if this thing can only last me a year or so w/out something new and improved coming out!!!

So, basically what is the best wheel package for XBOX? Like the other thread, I wouldn't mind trying the Race Pac, but I've read reviews saying it can be broken easily, plus I don't know if I want to drop that much money for a wheel. How big is the Race Pac? My XBOX is in my bedroom so I don't have a lot of space to waste.

I've heard about them breaking too, but I'm a pretty big dude who plays racing games a fair amount, and I haven't broken it or had any problems with it yet (I've had it for a while now) so I can't really tell you which way to go on that one. It is pretty accurate, but the rumble is so weak its easy to not notice it during some games. One plus is that I have been able to accurately tune the wheel (turn sensitivity up or down) to work pretty well with every racing game I have/had (PGR2, RSC2, TOCA 2, Burnount 3, Need for Speed Underground 2). Its about 4.5-5.5ft long (a real guess, not too sure, but it can seat someone about 6ft. tall, maybe 6.5ft, not too much taller than that.) In my opinion, its better than the MadCatz wheel (I still have it, collecting dust), and after reading the new reviews/previews of the new Fanatec wheel, I'm not about to drop $150 on a third wheel that doesn't have true force feedback.

So, any opinions on how this Race Pac thing works with Forza? Thinking about trying one (possibly taking it back to EB if it stinks.)

it works VERY, VERY well for the xbox. i have zero complaints. as some other posters have indicated, i think there is a problem with the pedals and their analog tuning for the ps2, but none such exists with the xbox. the game even recognizes that you have a wheel plugged in and you just set it to the mad katz wheel (same button configuration), and you are set to go. i really recommend this wheel for a complete set up.

I've had the Racepac for a while, and it's still in great condition. My brother even takes the metal frame out (it's velcro'd in) and sits in a chair to use it; and his is also holding up fine. I can't imagine what people are doing to break them, other than abuse. Under normal wear I havn't seen any problems at all.

As far as Forza goes, it works great. It is not a force feedback wheel, so if you're looking for that feature you don't want one. Being able to adjust the steering sensitivity is nice, and having an all-in-one system that includes a seat is nice. For the price it is a great product, and I consider it one of the best purchases I've made for my Xbox.

Works great for me. I logged about 3 hours in the thing last night and it worked superb. Although it doesn't have force feedback it does have some feedback (vibration).

I probably suck now using a controller.
