    GT4 review.

I'm sure pk will get a kick out of this:

Indeed. Weak AI and no online, but the gameplay still rates 9.5.

How? This is supposed to be the Real Driving Simulator, but it has weak AI yet rates 9.5 for gameplay.

Someone explain that one to me!

    Take care,

I don't get that either. What are they basing the gameplay score off of? All they're basically saying is that you should get the game just to look at it.

            Re: GT4 review.

It all makes perfect sense in an IGN sort of way...

I made the mistake of trying to watch their video review, which was essentially a collection of gameplay footage with fanboy dialogue in the background. Say what you want about Gamespot's reviews, but at least they make their reviewers sit in front of the camera and try to sound like they know what they are talking about.

I don't know what GT4 should be rated considering I haven't played it yet. Looks like it still is one of the best "driving" games out there, perhaps not the best "racing" game when stacked against the competition.

Can't wait to get home to try it out. Later.

There was no need for this thread theres already one thats 7pages long. Why make this just to give pk more to talk about? We've heard everything he has to say.

The game got the score because it still has solid gamplay and has alot of depth. Get over it already.

There was a need for this thread since the other thread had nothing to do with the review. It said that it had weak ai yet it still got a 9.5, that makes no sense.

It can make sense depending on how you judge the importance of the AI over the total gameplay. For people who just want to drive it doesn't affect them and therefore the game can still rate high. I think they felt like there was enough gameplay "pros" to outweight the AI issues and still get 9.5.

Everyone is going to rate the game on their own terms so don't get too hung up over one persons score.

It was just weird to me that they would say that the game has weak ai but give them a 9.5 for gameplay.
