Ok guys, I want to ask a question. Please excuse my ignorance and keep the laughter to a bare minimum if possible.

I am new to high speed internet( i don't have it yet) and am new to playing games online. What is the best things to have? Should I go DSL or Cable and what other little tidbits of info should I know before spending money for something I really don't understand.

GT-HD v1.1 is now availble in the PSS, its the same game, its and updated patch, that gets rid of the time bug. Its a hefty 625mb, but at least the correct finish times will be posted in the world wide rankings.

Can anyone answer two questions for me.

1) Can you not play games while downloading a game from the PS store?

2) Why does it take me so long to download games from the store? I have a Linksys wireless router (G) and it has taken thus far 45 minutes to get 42% of the way thru the F1 demo that is 678mb.

Am I missing something?

Nope, no back ground downloading yet.

And downloads are slow as hell for many.

well I must have a speical connetion, because it doesn't take me long to download any of the demos I have downloaded already.

Thanks EG. I really wish they would add the background downloading because of the time it is taking to download these games.

And sad to hear that downloads are slow for everyone, but I was hoping that maybe I have set something up wrong because this is all new to me.
