I need help please!!! I can't get Madden 07 for the Ps2 in 480P.

Here's my setup:
1) PS2 slimline bought towards the end of this past year.
2) Bought Monster a/v component cable that's plugged into the back of the PS2 and the gold,5 leads hooked up to the back of my tv.

So you are talking about the ps2 version, and your talking about playing on the PS2, not the PS3?? Not sure but maybe the game is not compatible with the HDTV/SDTV modes...?

New Update is required for the PS3 again. Not sure what it is yet, just version 1.51. I am downloading it now.

I don't know what that problem is that you are talking about. I haven't had any problems after the version 1.5 download.

Can you manually change your settings on your Sony HDTV to display in 480p? Try that and see if you can get Madden 07 to display in 480p.

Rodster, it's a no go. I guess that's all i get out of my model PS2.

WTF: Is it true that i'm hearing the PS3 is having problems and if so, what are they? Heard about a march update. Should i wait or is it okay to buy one now?

I haven't had any problems whatsoever. THe only problem I know of, is that there are no games for it right now, lol. It's a very reliable system in the short amount of time I've had it... I'd recommend it to anyone. EG had a problem with his, but that's one of the only things that I've heard of..

The march update will fix the scaling issues with the TV... and a few more things hopefully... but nothing that would inhibit you from getting one now.

Are the updates free or do i have to join a service like the xbox 360. Well, i don't play any online .

Everything online is Free from Sony

Other than some downloadable games of course.. but updates and online play is free.. although the online system isn't nearly as good as XBLIVE.

[Key Tone] has been added as an option under [Sound Settings].
[Delete Backup Data] has been added as an option under [System Settings] > [Backup Utility].
