PS3 is currently #1 on the video games best seller list on Amazon. Looks like the price cut could be just what the PS3 needed

It's not needed IMO. I've never had one on mine, the system stays pretty cool, and doesn't nearly have the overheating issues of the 360.

If it bricks you'll get it repaired for free or a new one from Microsoft.

only if it gives you the RROD. They worded their warranty nicely.

Will Sony actually make a rumble controller? Not the biggest deal for me but I've always had bad luck buying non Sony accessories to save some money. The stuff usually doesn't work that great or breaks - especially cheap third party controllers.

It's the Sony-made Sixaxis, but with Immersion's new rumble technology added in.

From what the press release shows, a third party is making a rumbling controller. But in my opinion this all but confirms the rumbling sixaxis (shockaxis if you will) because there is no way a third party would ever get developers to really support their rumble if it was the only rumbling controller on the market for the system.

Also, from what I've read and heard about this "touchsense" technology, it sounds pretty cool and is an improvement over the rumble currently out there (though it can replicate current rumble, which is good for backwards compatibility for the ps3).
