I basically want this month back in value, whatever a month costs, $7 or whatever. If this was anything else, I'd be calling and complaining left and right for not being able to use it.

MS better watch themselves now. Seem to be getting very complacent.

That would be the right thing to do. Hopefully they add an additional month to everyone's account.

Well... Xbox is getting sued now for the outage.

Microsoft now faces a lawsuit over recent problems with its Xbox Live online gaming service. Three Texas residents filed a lawsuit Friday on behalf of themselves and others who have had trouble connecting to Xbox Live in recent weeks.

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Houston, claims Microsoft's outages represent a breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation for which the software maker is liable. The suit doesn't claim specific damages, but notes the amount is in excess of $5 million.

In the suit, the plaintiffs allege that Microsoft should have known strong holiday sales would tax its servers. "Microsoft knew the increase in subscriptions would increase game-play on its servers, yet failed to provide adequate access and service to Xbox Live and its subscribers," read the filing.

Microsoft has apologized for the outage and said it would allow Xbox live subscribers to download a free game. A Microsoft representative was not immediately available for comment.

As I said, one month added would make it right. Hopefully these bozos don't win.

Wow. Hopefully this forces Microsoft to step up and take action.

People in this country don't try and use this scam enough.

            5 million in damages?

            Good luck

If I have two 48 hour XBL codes, can I enter both of them right away and have 96 hours or do I have to wait for the first one to expire before using the next 48 hours?

I'll probably get flamed for this, but one thing that I have had to come to terms with in the tech world is that at times things aren't going to work as planned. Especially with internet technologies, things sometimes break down. You can't argue that the LIVE service, when working on all cylinders, is superb. Yes, there is the paid for service factor that plays a role, but for what LIVE is, and in considering how large the scale has become, I find myself being more understanding/tolerable of outages.

Of course, my 360 is somewhere in Texas having its last rights read to it, so I'm not experiencing the current frustrations with LIVE.

I dont understand why people are so pissed about a 2 week window of a $7.99 monthly subscription at the most.

its the most wonderful time of the year...seems like a bunch of people's 360's have been dying lately.

As for why people get mad with Live outages, I just think some people just get fed up with the many problems with the 360 as a whole. I've had 3 consoles die on me, had 2 copies of forza cracked by the 360, they only replace dead 360's with RROD issues, and then a pay for service like Live is having trouble. It's not hard at all, for me at least, to see why a few people finally got pissed off with MS enough as a whole to sue them for something. I figured they'd already have a class action lawsuit for various issues. Sony did..

I didn't make the decision to sue, I'm simply giving up on them.
