Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Yeah, I think it's really just so they don't have people trying to return opened games.
BTW you are much better off buying the game off amazon.co.uk, it's almost half as much from one of the sellers there.Last edited by Burns11; 10-17-2010, 06:21 PM.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Random idea for a future firmware upgrade:
Give me a third option for my notification settings that shows when I receive a message, but not when anyone on my friends list signs on/off. Right now, notifications are either all on or all off. Kind of annoying when you have a full friends list and those notifications are firing constantly. If I turn them off, then the only way I find out I have a message is when I happen to catch that little envelope icon on the XMB out of the corner of my eye.
Actually, it would be nice if you could set a sound to play when you receive a message as well.Ryan Spencer

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
How is the Instant Queue for Netflix on the PS3? I just signed up for the 1-month free trial and figured I'd try it out. I have decent Internet speed and was curious if the TV shows/movies stream or do you download them first and then watch?
I'd rather download then watch later as I have a feeling with stream I'd see a lot of buffering.Currently Playing:

Who knows if Sony actually cares about your ideas or not, but I figure it doesn't hurt.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Here are some of my suggestions for now:
- Video and external memory files appearing in grid matrix form like photos.
- Ability to screengrab from videos and save as images.
- Ability to create sub-folders for all media files.
- Dynamic range audio output control for music.
- Create (not just view) photo slideshows and cue up with certain music on your HDD.
- Same for videos, being able to use your own music (might have some copyright issues there I guess).
- Video playlists.
- Ability to rate media.
- Full XMB access without your music ever cutting out.
- FLAC and MOV file support.
- "Nicknames" for your friends (that way I can put you all in as your OS username instead of your PSN ID)
- More and more friends allowed.
- Better mail sorting/grouping/categorizing (pick your favorite word).
- Automatic background installs to the HDD after download.
- This is a strange request but there's an "Autoplay" feature for discs that you put in, but it affects both when you put it in and when you start up the machine. I want the two options to be separated so I can autoplay when I put the disc in, but not on startup.
- The "What's New" section to feature DLC items from the games I own or have played.
- Multiple network settings presets for us to save on the machine.
- Video/voice chat rooms in XMB (I think this option is somewhere, but I don't actually know where it is lol)
- Cross-game chat
- Choose your own thumbnail image for album folders (instead of just the most recent HDD file).
- Change around/sort files within albums manually (like a custom slot).
- And nothing really to do with firmware, but we need PlayTV here in the U.S. It's about time they release it over here.
I know there's something else I have on the back burner that I'm just not thinking of, but these come to mind for now. And of course, unless Microsoft holds onto the exclusivity license, I would like to be able to play any of my music during any game I'm playing.Last edited by Blzer; 10-19-2010, 03:36 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
I'm stashing away $50-$75 a month from now until March so that by the time The Show '11 drops, I'll pick up a PS3 and The Show. Any money left over and I'll grab Uncharted 1 and 2.
Can't wait to be a part of the PS3 experience (once again). I really regret selling it last fall, but at the time I was very strapped for cash.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
It's great. They do stream though no downloading. But I have subpar internet speed and service and only see the buffering when the movie/show load up which takes 10-15 seconds. Then it plays through fine. And if you stop mid way through you can go back and load it up where you left off.
Is there a max. limit on what you can have in your Instant Queue?Currently Playing:
