I guess I was slightly wrong about the "visibility" online...maybe. I did notice that when you are on friends' list and you click on triangle on yourself the option for availabilty shows up. The option "not available" is there. I wonder if that's analogous to the 360's "not online".

No, it's more like an "away" or "busy". A yellow clock icon replaces the blue one next to your name.I guess I was slightly wrong about the "visibility" online...maybe. Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
So you thought homebrew was the first thing we'd be hearing about with all of the recent PS3 "developments"? Yeah....not so much.

Feel free to delete if you want mods, it's just news from Kotaku so I didn't think think there would be a problem.Comment

I'm not sure why someone would steal trophies. I love trophies but I would never do it that way.So you thought homebrew was the first thing we'd be hearing about with all of the recent PS3 "developments"? Yeah....not so much.

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Agreed. The whole point of trophies is earning them. For me it gives games a lot of replayability and I like showing how much I have accomplished in games. I'm sure many feel the same way (I guess that's why they want to steal them though, just to pretend like they earned them). I restarted GTA IV when they patched them in because of it. I'm also pretty mad that Soul Calibur IV doesn't have any trophies (they have something in-game that's a bit different, but again you can't show them off).
The only reason I might is for Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time. I deserve this one called "Complete All Space Missions" or something like that. Turns out after I collected all of these components of this larger thing, the rest of the space missions disappeared or something because the guy you did the space missions for also wanted those things collected ultimately. That alone will stop me from getting a platinum trophy, my first ever one that I was striving so long for.
I might have to steal that one.

Lol, you have to be the biggest dork in the world to:
A) Steal fake, virtual trophies
B) Think stealing said trophies and having them on your gamercard will somehow make you cooler
Seriously, there are some real ****ing losers out there.Comment

LOL! There was a cat here on OS that did the same thing with his 360 achievements and then tried selling his account to most of us. Then denied it the whole time till he got caught. Some people get off on stealing trophies/achievements thinking they are better than everyone else.Comment

PSN trophies are like money. I was talking to this chick and she wasn't interested until I told her that I was a level 10 gamer on the PSN and the trophies that I had acquired. After that, she was butter in my hands.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Hey everyone, I am pretty pissed right now. I just came back from the bar and my brother tells me he has bad news. My last standing refirbed, fat PS3 dies while I was out. But here is the kicker 2k11 is stuck in the system. I tried turning the switch in the back with the eject button down and the system is still just winking at me and egging me on with the three... hee, hee, hees (three beeps.) Does anyone have any suggestions before I rip this thing apart?
To tell you the truth, I am really disappointed with Ps3 right now. Really three or four years in and all three of my originals have died. Considering how much these things cost, you would expect a lot more. Once again there goes some saved data and maybe even a disk. I am really frustrated right now. Thanks for the ear everyone.Last edited by Chizzypoof; 01-21-2011, 03:13 AM.Comment

Re: Official PS3 Discussion Part III...
Switch the system off and try to hold onto the eject button for like 15 seconds. If I recall it goes for a force eject.
I'm sorry about your system.
