No worries, guys. Nice of you to offer to us here on the boards.

I like Plus, but with my work schedule being so crazy, I'm not sure if I'd really be able to utilize all the benefits, since I really only have time to play a couple of games (listed below) each week.

        Anybody done this before?

Left my controller plugged in last night. Got home from work, walked across the carpet, grabbed the controller and SHOCK!

Looks like my controller is fried now. It will turn the PS3 on, but then the screen goes haywire. Fortunately, the PS3 seems fine with my backup controller.

Gives new meaning to dual shock, I guess.

I got a new black Super Slim in January after my old fat one was 'taken' away...

It is very cool though, so quiet, and incredibly light.

Yeah did that with my 360 a few years ago. I learned to ground myself after that.

I've heard that you want to avoid TB for the PlayStation 3 at all costs.

                500 and 750 are best.

From my understand, TB really messes with the PlayStation.. mainly slowing it down.

I've personally wanted to see if a flash drive would work.

When the PS3 came out I had a full size 1.5TB HDD hooked up and everything was fine. Only drives I've heard of causing PS3 issues are ones with internal power saving and drop protection.

But that's all beside the point, the original question was about external HDDs. The PS3 seems pretty external drive friendly, they just have to be formatted FAT32.

Thus also updated in firmware updates for the ones with the internal power save.

It would cause video in older games like Uncharted to stutter. But after a few firmware updates, that issue went away completely.

So there is no way to change your PSN ID? I don't want to be DookieMowf any longer. I read you can create a new one, but would lose all online stuff. IE PS+ etc...

Hopefully when the PS4 comes out we can change it. But for now we're stuck.

Do people keep old game data of games on their harddrive that they're not gonna play ever again(just sorta to see that you first played ___ on a specific date), or do they delete it to save space?

I got about 20-30GB of gamedata on my system from games I no longer play(many of them were like 5000mb), so thinking bout deleting all those. Since I only got like 25GB of space left on my PS3(120gb)

I know with smart phones too big of a memory card can freeze the phone or lock it up. Maybe it's something similar to that.
