    I'm guessing March/April.

The 120GB+ PS3 will be announced around GDC and the release date should follow shorty.

Just get it though man! Its your birthday!

Do any of you guys play your PS3 on a SDTV? I wouldn't be able to buy an HDTV for another year maybe, so I'm curious as to how they look on in SD. I'm sure it probably depends on the game. A buddy of mine as his 360 hooked up to a SDTV and it looks "fine".

Maybe you should think about the PS3 in more ways than just graphics until you can get a HDTV. The games can do much more on the PS3 than they could on the PS2 in more ways than just graphics. I bet it looks real similar to the 360 on a SDTV though.

yes, you miss out on the graphics, but the games are better. There's no need to be stuck in 2005, and there's no law that says you have to play these on hdtv's.

                As in WiFi? Yes the 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB do. 20GB doesn't.

Best deal if you don't mind getting a Sony Credit Card is $299.99 at Sony with free shipping for the 40GB or $399.99 for the 80GB.

Unfortunately so far most games have been better on the 360 graphically... especially EA games. But it is changing and all games should be the same next year. 2K games are already the same.

Other then base it on whatever console most of your friends play. Also Home is releasing soon for the PS3 should it should be a huge spring for Sony.

I just got my Nyko BluWave IR remote for the PS3 and it's working great now! Takes a bit of tinkering in the Harmony software to get your Activities and Device set up with it, but once you're good it's awesome! I can deal with getting up to turn on the PS3, especially since I've got to put in a movie anyways.

Just wanted to give a 2nd opinion...I needed this because I hated having to use the controller (and waste the charge). I <3 Harmony remotes!

Does it light up in the dark? Thats the one thing I don't like about the Sony one that it doesn't.

Two questions for you about the Dual Shock 3 controller.

                          1. It states that the game has to be compatible with the controller, is this true? If so, are there very many games that are working with the rumble feature at this time?

                          2. How is the battery life with the controller? I would assume it would eat up the batteries quicker since its got the rumble but I figured I would ask anyways.

all games will work with the controller, and many already have the rumble feature in, due to developer foresight, or update patch. I only have 5 games, and I know that Motorstorm added a patch for it. There might be a few launch titles without it, but developers have known about the dualshock 3 for a bit, so there wont be another game out without it in.

The battery life of the sixaxis was already lower than the wireless 360 controller when you use the charge kit, but I don't really see that as a big factor, since you just plug it in to the usb port and charge. You dont even have to buy batteries or a kit like with the 360, so it's entirely free.

The thing that kinda sucked though, was that the dualshock 3 doesn't come with a usb cord, so you have to share a cord with the sixaxis.

Yeah...and you'll pay a bit for a Harmony, but it's worth it IMO. One button will turn everything (except PS3) on, change tv and reciever inputs, and change the buttons on the remote to whatever you want for that activity (watch dvr, watch dvd, use 360, etc). For the longest time I couldn't imagine spending the cash for one, but once I did I realized how nice it is. All my remotes sit on a shelf now, instead of all over my living room.
