The Show has some problems when using connected online through some brands of routers, causing it to freeze. This was probably what happened.

hmmmm....i have a d link router, i wonder if that's what did it.

i told walmart the console was defective (didn't want to hassle with it) and they put a defective sticker on it when they took it back, but now i'm a little worried b/c when i set up my PSN i put my CC info in, i hope somehow it doesn't stay on the hard drive and some gets my CC #.



oh well, i guess i'll just monitor my cc charges like crazy...

2.40 is suppose to be the holy grail of firmware updates.

Did you check out Grand Turismo?

Also, what about MGS man? Best PS game out right now IMO.

I know, hopefully 2.4 drops very soon. I am looking forward to GT, although the prologue version doesn't interest me much... just give me the real deal. As for MGS, obviously after reading the impressions thread it sounds like an outstanding game, but I've never played any of the MGS games and really would like to play through the previous versions before jumping into this one.

Yep, and the fan is pretty darn loud. I have to turn up the volume on my receiver when it kicks on.

Trust me I have not even setup a PSN name or anything yet. I been real busy when I get home from work (remodeling a house). But the missy is going away saturday (going out of town). So I can be a slacker this weekend . I plan on saturday getting it all setup and adding you as my first friend . Then we can booze it up and see who can drop the most bombs or K's. I will send you a friend request pretty early saturday morning.

Haha, alright that sounds good! i tried a TON of names and all were taken so i went with OS_ODogg, you probably will have to do the same and take OS_Phobia as it's likely that Phobia is taken. Hell even ODogg21 was taken!!

Well they have to sign into your PSN account. Did you set it up for automatic sign-in? If you did I'd just go in as soon as you can on your new system and change the password and you shouldn't have to worry about it. That PS3 you returned won't be in circulation for a good while anyways. It will be sitting in the back room of Walmart for a week at least.

I must say I but my foot in my mouth about the PS3-360 thing, I saw MGS in action yesterday at my cousin house, and man I do now regret getting rid of my PS3, wow, I will admit I was wrong on this one. I played all the MG's and said that not having this one wasn't a big deal , I must have been in a daze, what do I do now......

LMAO about the drinking setup. I just stocked my fridge with Blue moon (best beer ever). Some Makers Mark (only whiskey to drink) and some grape popsicles .

I am going to try for OS_Phobia for my PSN name. I got to pressure wash the house saturday in the morning. Getting it ready to have the bricks painted and stucoed. But after that I am sittin on my arse for the rest of the weekend with a drink in one hand and a PS3 controler in the other

dumb question - if i get an hdmi cable, i still need an optical audio cable right? in other words, hdmi doesn't carry an audio signal, correct?

i thought i saw an audio option for hdmi last night when i was setting everything up but i was in a hurry so i didn't look too closely.
