Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
      Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
      Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

      Captain Tenneal: Get it on!

Well if you have the warranty through the store then I dont see why they wouldnt, depends on how each store works but I would think once the 80GB comes out the 40GB stock is either going to be completely gone or on its way out. Just wait until its completely out and then they wont have a choice but to throw it on a GC and then you can get it anyways, that is if they give you a problem in the first place.

Need help running wireless. I use to run wireless no problem but i started to just use the wire. Now when my wife plays UNO on xbox live. I want to run my ps3 wireless but it will not work now. I always just ran the AUTO and it would connect wireless. Now it won't i can't get pass the IP address. So i put the IP address in that i got off my router and it worked. But now i can't get pass the next one i believe its Connect to internet. Its saids something bout DNS.

So i put my DNS and everything else in manual and still can't get it pass Connect to internet. I'm using a Linksys router. But its strange it worked fine till i started to just use the Wire for awhile. I get that 807 something error

Question about replacing the HD in a 60gb PS3.

How does it handle the operating system when first starting up with a completely new HD, does it walk you through a set up procedure?

                  Thanks

Yes, everything is very simple. Worst case scenario it will tell you it needs update 2.xx to to reformat. So as long as you have a flash drive, you're good to go.

If you are using Linksys try manually setting your PS3 ip to 192.168.1.20 and using 192.168.1.1 for your DNS. That should work.

                        Stupid question....

I usually have my PS3 hooked up to my 42" Westinghouse LCD and experience some slowdown on College Hoops 2k8 at 720p. Tonight I hooked my PS3 up to my 52" Sharp Aqous LCD and I don't seem to be experiencing any slowdown, despite playing at 1080p.

Is it possible that my Westinghouse TV is causing the slowdown? I'm using the same HDMI cable.

That's weird, TV"s really can't "slowdown" a videogame. At least I've never heard of that before.

The refresh rate of the TV could be the problem. Some tvs (especially older ones) have slower refresh rate that could cause some slow down.

                                E3 08 - Sony Announces 80 Gig PS3 for $399

At todays E3 Conference Jack Tretton announced that a 80 gig PS3 with many less features will be released in September for $399
The newly minted 80 Gig PlayStation 3 model isn't a retread of the current model, which includes both memory card usage, and good backwards-compatability with PS2 + PS1 gaming. The newly announced 80 Gig model will instead utilize the reduced-cost innards of the standard 40 Gig model, which most likely means zero backwards compatability with PS2, and some PS1. Goodbye memory card slots as well.
