pfft, I did the opposite. I gave up the TV shows and sports. No way I'm giving up my games!

Yeh i couldn't give up SOA,Breaking Bad,Game of Thrones!,I still watch WWE Raw and watch NBA aswell as play sports during the week and weekends while trying to juggle a new house and working full time!...Luckily my partner is pretty easy going most of the time!

My only option was to cut down my gaming, which of course saved me more money and made me a smarter consumer!,Gaming has and always will be apart of my life ,I genuinely love Video games and have ever since i was a kid on an Atari...But i'm just at the age where i have higher priorities in life.

I think as mentioned in this thread having a rather large gaming backlog makes you feel like you have to be gaming because you have to start the next game, and so on because you just keep adding to your "to do list" by buying the latest release telling yourself you will get around to playing it one day!...but like i said once i decided to let go of the achievement chasing and traded some of my backlog in i actually enjoyed my gaming alot more!...I was play games now cuz i want to not cuz i feel i have too!,sure i've missed out on a few good games but iv'e accepted the fact i don't have the time to play and beat them all!

          Updating my list of shame...

          Previous post here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043101005

One pre-emptive point - I'm not going to count games I got off of the PS Plus IGC (Free) or Steam sales (steeply discounted). Those probably make up well over half of my backlog and are only available for a limited time, so it makes sense to pick something up like that for cheap that I might play later. I don't really feel any shame in that - it's the full price games collecting dust that bother me.

Here goes...games I haven't finished (that CAN be finished) and still own (meaning seeing the credits roll for simplicity's sake, I know that's not always the real ending). Returning champions from the last list in bold:

          PS3:

Demon's Souls (not IGC, retail from back when it came out in '09)
          Hyperdimension Neptunia
Rainbow Moon (this frustrates me quite a bit, as I love this game and I had a lot of progress when my 2nd PS3 decided to crap out, and I couldn't load my old save data)
          Persona 4 Arena
          Okami HD
          Retro City Rampage
Atelier Ayesha (finished with a bad ending, replaying at some point. Part of a 2013 March Madness where I spent over $200 on the PSN for a store credit promotion, otherwise I would have waited)

          Vita:

Atelier Totori Plus (actually predates Ayesha in the series, but I didn't even know about it until after playing Ayesha. Also March 2013.)
Dragon Fantasy (this one's in progress)

          PC:

          Skyrim/Oblivion/Fallout III (explained last time)
Torchlight I/II (both came as a package)
Starcraft II campaign/expansion (this one KILLS me...the expansion came out around the same time as the Show and Simcity (March 2013 again) and I still haven't beaten the FIRST campaign yet! )

PSP (yep, I still have it, plus the digitals can be played on the Vita):

Disgaea 1 (realized I don't own 2 yet, and 3 is now a part of the Vita IGC)
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions - this one's still as ludicrous as before, but I've still managed to remain unspoiled on the story, so there's still incentive for me to finish. And, with a speed-up fix for the battle effect slowdown I recently found for WotL it may finally happen this time. Eventually.
          Tactics Ogre
          Persona 3 Portable (special case - I've beaten P3 FES on PS2)

I think I have 15-20 games I have to beat before the PS4 comes out. I have way too many games.
            MLB: Texas Rangers
            Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
            NCAA: SMU, UTA
            NFL: Dallas Cowboys
            NHL: Dallas Stars
            NBA: Dallas Mavericks

I own a band check it out

Ain't that the truth. MLB The Show and NBA 2K get in the way of me playing/finishing all of the non-sports games I own. I seriously need to take a month or two and just try and finish several of them.

I can cross BioShock Infinite off my list. Of course, now that I know how it ends, I want to go back and replay it to see what all I missed. It's a never-ending cycle this too many games syndrome.

I have a decision to quit purchasing sports titles every damn year. This is the very first year that I will be implementing this plan. I did get The Show 13, but that'll be the only sports title I'll purchase this year.

I really think this is the way to go with sports titles. No reason to buy every year, plus it allows you to really get deep into franchise/dynasty.

I've had that plan before, but I always break down. Buying a sports game every other year makes a lot of sense. I've told myself that the 13 lineup (MLB 13, NBA 2K13 and Madden 25) on PS3 will be it until I buy the 2015 versions on the PS4. We'll see if I actually follow through though.

Yeah, but didn't have games off the fireplace or from the bedroom game center on there. Estimate it's at 550 to 600 now on 360 games alone. Need to get an updated pic with all games in one place.

Edit: Look like it's closer to 500.

Basically if I see a game at the $15 or less mark I'll buy it. The games on the left are the games I've played/solved and the games on the right are the games I might have started but definitely haven't finished, and many of them haven't even been open/tested.

Moved games in here trying to organize them and the 360 games will fill up the entire shelf now, which at 44 to 48 games per shelf puts the 360 games at roughly 500. And this gentlemen... this is why I can't drink.
