I think you might be right about that. My other thought is this was something intentionally leaked with a $70 price listed on it so that when Sony only charges $50 for it, we'll all feel like we're getting a deal. Sony would be insane to charge more than M$ does for Live.

I won't buy it, ever. I moved from the 360 to get away from paying to play the games I've already paid $60 for. And while I understand that won't change with PSN, offering things like party chat and downloadable content that only subscribers get will create a division on PSN between the haves and the have-nots. I'd hate to think that I can no longer play with my FIFA Club because I don't have party chat or some sort of DLC that I can't get.

Those options are terrible. For $70 I should be able to do ALL that stuff, why do I have to choose WHICH $70 option I want? With one I get Netflix without a disc, but no Facebook, but if I want Facebook, I'm back to Netflix with a disc? Lol, who the hell came up with this?

Why not just tier it? IE, option one gives you x amount of options for $40, option two gives you x amount for $50, option three gives you x amount for $60, and option four gives you x amount for $70. Lol, one of the $70 choices doesn't even allow the cross-game voice chat!

I ask again, who the hell came up with this?

I don't get the chart anyway. Does it mean the other features won't exist at all, or does that mean that those other features would just be free?

This is just a survey and this is just one page of the options, there were several pages ranging in price from $10 to $70 (according to people who have claimed to have taken the survey). You don't pick one, you say if that each is an option you would consider paying for.

The reason these seem so goofy as to why one has one option but not another, they are trying to find out what people might pay for and at what price without coming out and asking.

For what it's worth:
I heard some info today that it is in the works and that the highest tier will be well over 100.00. The highest tier will inlcude all premium items (like the premium themes etc..) and something about access to full version online games for 1 hour (each I assume).... whatever that means.

wow, this will kill all the momentum the PS3 has had recently. Might be time to buy a bluray player and just keep the 360.

never mind that this is still in the foolish rumor territory, which never even includes paying to play online, and that it'll only ever be an optional tier.

Online will probably remain free. IMO it's more rumor of that than it being a rumor that a tier system is coming. I think that's a given. The pricing more than anything is the big question mark.

if they do i might get a ps3..
ps3 online is friggen trash.. if they used that money to better it.. online gaming might be more enjoyable.. but theres still that garbage controller...

PS3 online definitely isn't trash, it still has a couple of areas it needs to catch up with XBox Live in but it is quite capable at this point.
