Re: New Xbox 360
I finally upgraded after being on the fence and am not at all sorry! I called all over the Chicago land area looking for a Gamestop that had one available for their kick *** upgrade deal (I was stupid and didn't pre-order). A lady who was sold out was kind enough to give me the number of every Game Stop within a 20 mile radius that had them... there were 4 and all of them were either sold out or were being held for pre-orders... except one a ways out in the burbs (they had only one extra). I put all my gamesaves on a flashdrive hit up mapquest, packed my system and headed out!
My only regret is that I left the second controller I wanted to trade in at home (could have netted me 25 extra dollars towards a new black controller). That REALLY pissed me off. Still, I payed 150 out the door to upgrade (well worth it). I had a feeling my 360 was on its last legs so I'm happy to upgrade.Comment

NopeJust haven't played it in a while. Something is messing up with the wifi in the house, so haven't been online to download any demos... and don't really have desire to get into any of the games I currently own.

Re: New Xbox 360
Got mine set up. I got great values for hardware from my old console so the cost was only $30 for to upgrade.
Xbox 360 Console + 1 Wireless Controller - $115
20GB Hard Drive - $30
Wireless Xbox 360 Controller - $25
64MB Memory Card - $10
Wireless G Adapter - $40
Wireless N Adapter - $50
I got some special $15 bonus for the console for no apparent reason. So that was a nice surprise. Since the new console was only $30 I also bought a second wireless controller.
I love this thing way better than the old 360. I love the design, it's much quiter, and I love the WiFi. The touch-sensitive buttons are awesome too.My YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/gosjsharks14Comment

Re: New Xbox 360
Since I tinkered with the inside of my original (x-clamp fix), would it have any trade-in value or is that more likely an e-bay item?Last edited by SlimKibbles; 07-13-2010, 10:26 PM.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: New Xbox 360
Thanks man, but the 7 day rule is only good on hard drives... everything else has to be traded in during the initial transaction that nets you the new system.Comment

Fightin words... lol. I know... pitiful. But the good news is, I don't carry any grenades at work, so the world is semi-safe.

Re: New Xbox 360
Just got back into the 360 world. I realized that my PS3 wasn't getting much play and that I missed the whole 360 marketplace, easier use, and, quite frankly, better games. Love the sleeker, smaller design.
Fired up MLB 2K10 and was stunned at the difference of graphics and gameflow as compared to the PS3.
Also, forgot how good live was compared to PSN. The wifi worked perfectly and the quicker downloads were a welcome change. Marketplace changed alot since I was last on.
Overall, happy to be back on the 360.Last edited by Gary Armida; 07-16-2010, 11:56 AM.Formerly Favre4vrComment
