Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
So I'm browsing the Vita store now, and am just completely hung up on what I want for that second game (Super Stardust Delta being the first one).
Before, I was certain I was going to get ModNation Racers. However, I noticed it's the lowest rated launch title, for the most part. I looked up video reviews, and they're just not liking it that much either. I did try the demo, and although I disliked the new drifting style, it still felt like the same game with a choppier framerate. They said they didn't much like the challenge presented in the latter half of the campaign and that it can be frustrating, and I came to realize that once I beat the campaign, I wouldn't have much use for this title anymore without online play.
So now I'm either looking for a game which offers online play or just something that I know I could go back and play. I'm not getting Uncharted at this steep price, and I would get FIFA or HSG if I could tell myself that I would legitimately be hooked the entire time that I was playing the game. I do love the sports, but I don't know... I'll play the demo for FIFA a bit more and see if I can get myself to buy it, but HSG just isn't really a Vita thing for me.
My only other consideration, really, is WipEout 2048. I'd buy it if it was $29.99 ($26.99 in the store), but I find the price too steep for this title. Not that it can't be deserving of that price tag, but once The Show comes out, I just don't think it will retain its future value afterward if that makes sense.
So for today, if I can get a long enough break from work, I'm going to try and pick up this thing, and then I'll transfer over SSD later, and probably just play that until I can land a second purchase or tell myself to hold off until The Show comes out. Seems to be a perfectly fair and reasonable deal to me, but I always get jealous when everyone else is getting HSG and I'm not haha. Where are you all with Twisted Metal for PS3, damn it?!
If the launch had a Ratchet & Clank or LEGO game, I think that would be my other purchase. Until then, it's mostly racers and sports (or pricey non-online Uncharted games).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I'll post one this afternoon for you, not a problem. I'm out visiting a customer this morning, so I just took the thing out of the box to see how it looked in there. LolComment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
FIFA is definitely a consideration for me if I knew I could stick to a soccer game for long enough. These decisions would be easier at $26.99 than $35.99 haha.
The real thing that's holding me back with WipEout for now is that they said they would allow a transfer over of WipEout HD + Fury from the PS3 pretty soon, but they never clarified whether it would be "WipEout 2048 DLC" or if you could bring the games over independently. If it's the latter, I'll hold off on the 2048 purchase. If it's the former, I might buy 2048.
Hey, can someone clarify... if you buy a game through the PSN Store, does it come with the online pass, or do you need to purchase that separately?Last edited by Blzer; 02-22-2012, 12:12 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
bestbuy.com is matching the B2G1 deal, but it is including some pre-orders like The Show and LBP.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Sony says there wasn't enough demand in the US or Europe for the UMD Passport program.
Or, perhaps they didn't want people buying a bunch of used PSP games for their Vita instead of paying full price for Vita games. It's the PS3 backward compatibility gaffe all over again.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
There are a lot more images on Amazon
I still maintain that the game traveler case provides just as much protection, isn't as bulky, holds more games (16), has a pocket for additional items, and is 10 dollars cheaper. The super hard cases always scare me because I always fear that if dropped on a hard surface the case it's self may break open/shatter which isn't possible with the shock absorbent hard rubbery material.Comment

Target Vita Fail
Went to Target when they opened, finally 10 minutes later someone shows up in Electronics to help me. I ask about the Wi-Fi version with the free 4GB memory card, she said they don't have any 4GB memory cards, she also had no idea about the B2G1 free deal. Add to the fact Target only had 6 games out... I went ahead and left.
I guess I'll try Best Buy later. Hopefully they will price match the deals Target were offering.Comment
