how pocketable is the vita? would it be stupid to pocket it along with your iphone?

I don't see it working with the iPhone too. I wouldn't put it in my pocket anyway but that's just me.

I bought the GameStop starter kit with soft case, game case, screen protector and screen cloth and I am nervous enough putting the Vita in that it seems like the two joysticks are being pressed down from pressure of case. I am currently looking for hard case that keeps Vita secure without it sliding around or putting any pressure on it.

As for your question I have a iPhone and would not be able to fit both in one of my pockets. I don't wear baggy clothing though so I guess depends on width and depth of pockets. But I agree with Dickey I would never put this system in my pocket for fear of scratching screen or breaking joysticks. Just my opinion though.

I bought a case from Target it was $19.99. It is called Game Traveler Case, I like it alot. I will try and find a link.

I haven't had a handheld since the Nintendo DS Lite. Taxes are around the corner, so maybe I'll wait for whatever amount of money I get from that, then buy a Vita. Loving the impressions everyone's giving of it.

Just unlocked the Advanced swing mechanic in HSG... Game just got that much better

BTW, 42 has Virtua Tennis... Maybe he'll be cool and post some thoughts

Meh....the only reason I ever used advanced shot in OOB is because you got a power bonus with it. Not the case in this game. None of the swing mechanics change your golfer's abilities - it's purely user preference.

And my preference is Circle - the precision of a traditional meter with the impact mechanic of advanced.

It's a good topic though - which of the 5 does everyone use? (Note: You start with 2 and have to unlock the rest)

I have that same case and it definitely protects well. It did fit in my jeans pocket, though just barely, and I was fully comfortable knowing my precious was protected. Dropped I fairly confident it would survive, stepped on I'm not so sure (though saying that I emptied the case and stepped on it and I really think a Vita would be OK, it didn't completely flatten and I'm not a tiny guy, though I didn't stomp on it either). It's a really nice case (I posted pictures of it earlier).

I have 4 swings so far and still use the circle mode. Just unlocked the 4th on last night but havent tried it yet.
Tried the arrow one but didnt like it.

The tilt sensor on this thing is really annoying until you figure out how sensitive it is. I literally spent 15 minutes trying to cross the same log in Golden Abyss until I got the hang of it.

In Hotshots golf is there anyway to add spin after you have already hit the ball. I just bought the clubs with extra spin but don't know how to add spin.

You have to hit the D-Pad (Down for back spin etc..) at same time as when contact is made to the ball.
I believe that's how.
Don't think you can add spin after the ball is hit.. hope not as I hate that.

That's correct Sky; to add backspin, hit down on the dpad at the same time you set your contact (and the same concept goes for adding topspin, draw and slice).

There are also advanced spin shots too. My personal favorite: press up on the dpad at the same time you set power, then down at the same time you set contact. The result? Turbo spin. Do it right and your ball will hit the green, catch on fire, and spin backwards a good foot or two.

Awesome thank y'all. Happy you can't adjust after spin. But I earned a crown for not using any advanced spin. Didn't know if advanced spin was spin after the ball was contacted.

I'm selling my XBOX 360 today and strongly considering a Vita purchase. I might wait and see if there is a deal for The Show release.

This thread has been terrible. I go from not caring about the thing to feeling as though I can't live without it.

Thought I'd try out the Flickr app to upload a pic as well. Uploading from the Vita was easy, but I couldn't find the share link in the Vita app, so I had to get it from the website.

Edit: guess I'm not doing it right because I can't see it in Tapatalk like I can Garret's HSG photos....
Edit again: There we go. Still couldn't find it from the Vita app though.
