Comparison pic on the X-Men table:

PS3 (through my video capture - game has no screenshot feature):

Vita (through its built-in screenshot tool):

Before anyone goes "OMG jaggies" on the Vita pic, remember that this is blown up to about twice the size of what you'd ever be seeing it as on the Vita itself. I can say that there are still jaggies even at the native size, but it in no way detracts from my enjoyment of the game.

The PS3 one may be in a class by itself (I don't know how it looks on 360), but Vita still looks pretty good, IMO. The difference isn't as great as it is with the Pinball Arcade versions, since the Vita one lacks the HDR lighting.

If those pics come out huge and extend off the page, let me know and I'll spoiler tag.

If I am going to get one pinball game, which one would you guys recommend?

First, sorry about the triple post - too excited about all this pinball!

Second, enjoy P3P - awesome game, although I heard that it lacks the anime cutscenes P3FES has.

That's a difficult question to answer, because it depends on what you're looking for. Pinball Arcade has the recreations of classic tables, while Zen goes for the original, fantasy-themed style. Whichever suits you more, I guess.

It should be noted that you don't buy Zen as a priced game - the free basic download gives you access to short demos of every table. Pinball Arcade has a free standalone demo, but it's base game is $10.

Just encountered a strange glitch on ZP2 for Vita on the El Dorado table. The ball got stuck bouncing in one location. Even after tilting, it couldn't get out of the spot.

I guess it's reasons like these the game got delayed for so long.

Yea, I thought about getting the ps3 version but I have a ton of console games to catch up on and because I work the overnight at a call center I get a decent amount of time to play vita at work.

Thanks for the pinball impressions and didn't realize Zen was priced per table. I'll download both demos and see how they feel and which style draws me in more.

We’ve got some great news for PS Vita owners today concerning Remote Play, the application that enables you to interact remotely with PS3 using your PS Vita and a Wi-Fi connection. Starting today, PS3 owners will be able to download an update for God of War Collection and Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection that will enable these classic games to be played from their PS Vita using the Remote Play function.

So what does this mean? It means you’ll be able to enjoy two classic HD collections almost anywhere, whether you’re around your PS3 or not, from the comfort of your PS Vita and a Wi-Fi signal. Both collections include customizable control options, so you can choose to have the R2 and L2 buttons from your PS3 mapped to PS Vita’s rear touchpad. This is great news because God of War, God of War II, Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus represent some of the most beloved and acclaimed titles in videogaming — and both collections look stunning on PS Vita’s brilliant 5” OLED screen.

To access the Remote Play functionality for both God of War Collection and ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, you’ll need to download patches for each game on your PS3, at no extra cost. Once you download each patch and try out Remote Play for yourself on PS Vita, be sure to let us know what you think!

In addition to playing selected games remotely, the Remote Play feature enables you to access music, videos, and photos stored on your PS3 through your PS Vita. For instructions on how to set up your PS3 and PS Vita for Remote Play please visit our guide here.

              That is awesome news.

Yes, the game is running on the PS3, Vita is just used as screen and controller.

I don't know when it happened, but the Vita's web browser has improved tremendously. It's not anything remotely close to any Smartphones or anything, but I previously had no use for it until now.

Still needs a portrait mode IMO.

Yeah, I've read articles linked from LiveTweet and the load times were not that bad and the touchscreen is great for browsing.

I need to read that blog about how remote play works. I'm interested in both of those HD collections, and to have the ability to play them on my PS3 and Vita is great news.

Anyone with the ICO - GOW collections try that yet? Mostly I'm curious about the connection quality and input lag, especially for a QTE - heavy game like GOW.

I tried, but I wasn't prompted to DL the update (for ICO/SotC at least). *shrug*

I think there is some sort of memory leak or something going on with the PSOne games, I've been playing the hell out of SotN and earlier I noticed that the entire system was running very sluggish and would actually be unresponsive for a second when going back to the home screen so you couldn't even tap anything. a quick restart fixed it fine, but if you play for any extended time you might want to keep it in mind to restart the system.

I really wish I could knock out a Platinum on a game or two. When FIFA 13 comes out my case isn't going to be able to hold my current "Games being played" library. I only have 4 slots.

I'm going to have to chose which games I take to work with me.
