I came in this thread and thought something cool had happened with the Vita and all I see is banter about a chick in Assasin's Creed.

You probably thought the Vita was getting a price cut or cancelled by Sony with all this chatter.

Yeah, that seems to be a pretty common reaction. I read about in the PS blog one time, but it hasn't really been advertised at all.

Just join the Vita club yesterday. I'm loving it so far. Got Madden 13 with it and picked up the Uncharted game. Really looking forward to the Assassin's Creed game in a week.

Yeah, that seems to be a pretty common reaction. I read about in the PS blog one time, but it hasn't really been advertised at all.

That's the problem with Sony. Their marketing is terrible, especially for the vita. It's like they don't want the Vita to succeed.

The Vita is an amazing portable gaming unit, but it does not have the appeal for me to throw my PSP away and get one yet. I am playing dynasties in Madden 08, The Show 11, NBA 2K10, and NHL 07. With synchronized dates now too. Sony should realize that someday soon hackers will work through their security and release the capabilities of the Vita. If they allowed you to convert your old games to a compatible format like an iso or cso and use them with your Vita, it would be an appealing marketing strategy. I wont carry around 2 portables with me, so until that happens I will stick to my PSP 3K for now.

I'm not sure if this is Gamestop only, but they are offering Street Fighter X Tekken on PS3 and Vita for $49.99 as a bundle deal. Not bad considering the PS3 version if $20 now.

Couple of niche Vita games recieving very high marks from IGN. First Dokuro and now this:

I had at least heard of this one for a while though. It's a sequel to a DS visual novel/puzzle solver called 999, and I would strongly recommend that anyone wanting to play Zero Escape should, at the very least, watch a True Ending playthrough of it. Probably better if you play it, but you have to go through multiple endings in order to reach the true one, which can be quite time-consuming. And I don't have a DS.

It's a visual novel through and through so I can't recommend it to everyone, but between 999 and what I've played so far in Zero Escape, there's quite a story there. And this one has a ridiculous number of branches the story can take.

There's a demo on the PSN that will give you a good idea of what this game is, if you've never played a VN before. IIRC though, the demo didn't have voice acting for any of it. In the full game, the novel portions are fully voiced. Well...except for the main character (but that's how a lot of VN's go, anyway).

Pretty sure the demo had voices. I know the bunny did, lol.

Looking forward to getting that game. Never played 999 but Hotel Dusk is one of my all-time favorite games.
