I'm open to a GTA on Vita. It worked well enough on PSP with Vice City Stories, which to me actually gameplay-wise is better than the original Vice City personally. It'd be a sure system seller too, so there's that.

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
For me, just rationalizing the sheer cost just to get started is a challenge. To get the console, a decent memory card, ps plus, a couple of good games...sheesh!!We are the music makers...Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I've seen all these articles (if you can call some of them that) saying the Vita is dead. Is it really in that much trouble? I'm assuming most of the people writing these "articles" are fanboys of other systems. Seems kind of stupid to declare a system dead when it hasn't even been out in the US for a full year.
So flip the question, instead of is it dead, what brings the Vita to life and keeps it going? PSN+ is a huge start and a great addition but that shines a much brighter light on the memory prices. Providing a trickle of free games for a relatively small cost may be less than ideal for Sony also. Cross-buy/play are nice, but how much support will either idea get?
What's going to sell more units? I think a good start would be making the black Friday pricing permanent now, and cut the price of the proprietary memory in half of what it is now. Push bonuses to PSN+ to get annual subs, and try and get some momentum going post-BF. They said they weren't going to cut the price before the holiday. Time to lie.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
The real question should be what is coming that is confirmed that will sell more units outside of the hysteria of Black Friday? The doom and gloom articles kind of write themselves, as Vita hits record lows in Japan, Sony's stock downgraded to junk due to such bad performance in many areas of the company, another console has been released to compete for resources, etc.

The western markets have completely changed though. Publishers are much more likely to support 360, PS3, PC, PSN, XBLA, Steam, iOS, and Android before the handhelds. Now we have Wii U and looming consoles from Sony and Microsoft. Unless Sony or Nintendo are funding the development, you're looking at mostly ports and shouvelware. The hardware and memory pricing aren't the only barriers, but software pricing is too. $40-$50 portable games in today's market is to expensive. The perceived value has changed with the rise of cheap mobile games and free-to-play.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
There's nothing coming down the pipeline that I'm really interested in. Soul Sacrifice looks meh, and I'm not really into baseball. Other than that there are 2 other announced games for next year, by my count.
I don't think we're going to see much in the way of announcements at E3 or Pax, either, and if we do, they're going to be what, another year+ away, at best? By then I'll be knee-deep in Next Gen and seriously not caring lol.Comment
