Is the MGS HD collection worth getting at $8.50? I never did finish 2 or 3. I loved 4. Just wanted to see how it translated to the Vita.

Once you adjust to the controls, camera, and gameplay from that time period, it's sick.

I never played the series before, because it always seemed a bit hard and slow. Now, I regret waiting so long.

I've never played much of 2 or 3, so I got the collection on Vita. I've played nearly ten hours of MGS3 already. I think I'm a convert.

Absolutely. I played a majority of 3 on the Vita. Games looks great and the controls are easy to pickup.

I will at some point, but have a few other games to get through first.

I saw a couple impressions on MLB the Show that remote play works nice. Any of you guys try it yet?

Back from Gamestop with the new Vita in hand. Traded in my 1000 model and because it's Gamestop some fat dude behind the counter had to try to tell me how my old Vita is actually "better".

So I broke him off right quick using my Wu-Tang sword style and then proceeded to purchase the product that I went in for....God I hate Gamestop.

Anyway, I'm downloading a system update now. My first impression is that the buttons feel more sturdy, not as spongy. Esp the shoulder buttons. The ergonomics are better too, it fits perfectly in my above average sized hands.

I wouldn't give up the screen, the slim really is just window dressing on downgrading the screen because it's still the most expensive component of the original Vita. Only thing that would have gotten me to consider it would have been somehow including dual triggers. Optionally clicky thumbsticks and rumble too, even if it was a snap on accessory or something.

I am sure there are other efficiences incorporated, but that's ultimately what it comes down to.

While it may be tolerable for many there's no getting away from the screen being relatively inferior to the original.

Here's my take on The Show's remote play after messing around with it for a bit:

Looks phenomenal. Every bit of the PS4's detail, just at 30 FPS. Gets a little chunky in the cutscenes because of that (but so does the PS4, for that matter).

Plays....like I expected. I know not everyone's going to notice the input delay, but I do. In BP I have to press the button almost the instant after the ball leaves the pitcher's hand in order to get "Normal" timing on a 90 mph fastball. If I try to swing at the exact moment I would on the PS4, the ball is in the catcher's mitt by the time the swing goes though. I have to speed up my entire swing process in order to just make contact, and it doesn't allow me enough time to get a good read on what I'm swinging at. I am using the direct connection from the PS4 to Vita and that's what I'm getting, not even using the wireless internet to connect to it.

It's for that reason I'm glad I still have the Vita version. Sliders (specifically, Pitch Speed) might fix this for me. But it's a whole different timing for me to learn, and since the Vita game's timing is already perfect I don't have much desire to mess around with it.

I knew this was going to be a thing way back when I tried to play the Pinball games through Remote Play. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.
