Yah, the reason you wouldn't want to so that, is you can't get Trophies from a used Vita game... so if one were to return a 3G Vita to get the Wifi version, those games would be seen on that new system as "used" and the Trophie functionality would be disabled.

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
My Best Buy had a display Vita that people could test so because of my concern over my pants, I decided to do a real-world pocket test with different pairs of pants and variable pocket sizes (I changed in the bathroom).
Trial 1: a nice pair of black dress slacks with a pocket around 4 inches in depth and sewed close to my thigh. Taking great care to avoid the cameras, I put the Vita in my pocket and walked around the store to simulate the ideal environment for walking and pocket carrying. At first, I was a little concerned because, as you all know, a pocket with this depth does not lend itself to carrying things that are as big as the Vita but I was surprised at how comfortable it was whilst walking. There was a slight bulge but that is to be expected with these kinds of pants. Now, I did run into some issues sitting down as the top of the Vita would poke out a little so you will want to avoid sitting; this type of pant is only for walking around with the vita in your pocket.
Score: 3 pockets out of 4
Trial 2: for this one, I went with a deep pocket "hip-hop" style of pant with a slight trim on the edges. Needless to say, these performed swimmingly in my test, not only was there room for the Vita, but I was able to fit several other items as well. There were none of the sitting issues that I encountered with the previous pair. The only problem that I have is that this is typically not the kind of pants that I would wear but I have decided that these will be my go to Vita Pants when I know for certain that I will need to carry my Vita in my pockets.
Score: 4 pockets out of 4
Trial 3: for my last test, I tried out a pair of the colloquially known "skinny jeans". As you might expect, these performed very poorly in all facets of the test. The Vita did not fit into the pocket at all, in fact it was a struggle to even get the very bottom wedged into the pocket. Walking around with the Vita was a struggle at best and I didn't even attempt the sitting test.
Score: 1 pocket out of 4Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
All I care is that it fits in my cargo shorts pockets. And I'll tell you, if I can fit a pint size flask in there, then this thing even in a case should be no problem at all.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I don't like bringing it up for the sarcastic posts which follow (which led to my sarcastic post, even though Mo was concerned about it as well), but you're right... it doesn't fit in jeans. I don't wear jeans often though, so this is not of my concern.
What really bugs me is how people are so adamant on purchasing something which will ultimately cost more than a new PS3, yet they already own a PS3 and have no intention of taking it on the go. I think I am the perfect customer for this thing: I don't have a Smartphone, and I'd like to use it as my portable entertainment device. So whether or not it fits in my pocket is very important for me.
Thankfully, it's been nearly like 300 posts since I've confirmed that it fits in my pocket. Not only that, but I've also found a case that will be perfect and fit into my pocket. My only posts since then have been about whether there will be a new case out there that will suit my needs even better. All of this banter about needing new pants and stuff are completely irrelevant, and people are taking things way out of proportion.
I hope you all have fun with your miniature PS3 in your household, by the way. I'm glad I'm not just blowing my money on this, and I'm actually getting some worth out of it.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
That's not true, used games won't earn trophies if they already have save game info on them (similar to how you can't earn trophies if you download someone else's save for the PS3), once that is deleted you can earn trophies again.Comment
