When you download games on the Vita do you have to have a memory card or is there some memory built into device. Meaning do all saves and downloads need a memory card as soon as you turn system on.

Have to have a card.
I only picked up HSG as I have a b2g1 free on used games coupon. Going to see what's available after a few weeks.
I'll buy used whenever I can except for a few games I know will be good and only need a patch etc.. To fix minor stuff.
I would buy new all the time however if there was a return policy. I gladly support certain devs (SCEA) buy buying new.

I just got a steal from Amazon right now.

I was going to cancel my pre-order and resubmit it with a 4 GB card. Even though I have a 32 and would never use the 4, it's free (so why not).

However, when I put the items in the cart I am not seeing the option for free release day shipping. I chatted with customer service, and they said there's no way to guarantee free release day shipping if I cancel and reorder. I said that's ridiculous because I'm still preordering and am a Prime member.

She said for me to just order a 4 gig card and they'd refund me the money. I said, "Well, I already purchased a card and it might be easier for you to just credit me 19.99 toward the card I already purchased". She ended up agreeing (though for some reason I am only going to be credited 19.00 even). This is awesome, because 1, she's putting it on my mastercard even though I paid with Amazon credit. And 2, rather than having a 4 gig card I don't need I got my 32 gig for essentially 81 dollars instead of 100!

Using the Vita's Content Manager, you transfer your files to the PS3 or PC, then put in your new card and transfer them back.

I just called my local video game store in Michigan where I got 90 dollars credit for my original PSP games I traded in. They don't sell many new games unless they are big releases (but they do offer 5 dollars off the ones they do sell since they get them cheaper from the distributor). But they don't sell any Vita games at all.

However, my brother-in-law has placed special orders and gotten games there that they don't normally sell. So I just called and asked about getting two Vita games- Lumines and Rayman Origins (never played it but it looks neat). He said they SHOULD be able to get those for me. I'd get the 5 dollars off and no tax when paying with store credit. So it should come out to 70.00 even if they can hook me up. I spent 3 dollars of my credit already on WWE OMG (50 most shocking moments in WWE history). So I'd get all that and still have 17 dollars left.

It's not B2G1 good, but I don't know what else I'd spend my credit there on, so this would be a huge coup for me.

I got UC, Hot Shots, and Wipeout for 85$ yesterday. I saw the Target price too and thought that 6 extra dollars wasn't a big deal. Plus, that purchase got me 50$ off any Gamestop purchase with my points. 250$ for my 3G release version.

Yeah, definitely not the only game in town, but for Uncharted specifically it is a very good deal to be included in the B2G1 at $40. I was basically going to pay $96 at Best Buy tomorrow for these same games. I'm not quite sure why they didn't charge me tax, but when I completed the order they didn't add any.

Edit: It just occurred to me that I don't know what they will do about Resistance, it's not out for months right? I guess I will see.

Just an FYI I did get Walmart to price match the target deal.

The electronics clerk gave me some Excuse about how they don't price match B2G1 offers, but I showed the target ad and walmart.com site that shows they following to the store manager and got them to honor it.

I got Uncharted, Lumines, and Rayman from Amazon. Since I already have Uncharted it's going to be returned for the show when it comes out.
