You know it's funny how there were only a few of us interested in the Vita before this month. I preordered this thing right after E3. I've never owned a handheld but Vita impressed me from the get go when it was announced. I look at this thread now and it's funny how it has blown up.

You are not kidding. I wasn't even going to bother until a price drop but after seeing it and the games, I could not resist. Plus all of the deals Amazon offered made it a no brainer in my book.

Speaking of Amazon: I got the PS Vita with a free 4GB memory card and they still sent me a $20 code to apply for future games and or accessories. So I used it to preorder MLB 12 The Show so my final cost: $19.99.

I can't wait to get home from work today as it will be waiting for me.

Target Vita Fail

Went to Target when they opened, finally 10 minutes later someone shows up in Electronics to help me. I ask about the Wi-Fi version with the free 4GB memory card, she said they don't have any 4GB memory cards, she also had no idea about the B2G1 free deal. Add to the fact Target only had 6 games out... I went ahead and left.

I guess I'll try Best Buy later. Hopefully they will price match the deals Target were offering.

Downloading lots of stuff on the Vita tonight with the release of all those apps and free AR games. Oh yeah, and I caved and got Uncharted, so that's a big chunk of what's downloading

What all did you download? I just downloaded Netflix and Hustle Kings.

Uncharted, HSG, the 3 free Vita mini games (only title I remember is cliff diver), Netflix, Twitter, Flickr, the Cross Platformer thing, and maybe something else I can't remember now. I just grabbed all the free stuff to help validate my 32gb memory card purchase. lol. This morning all but HSG had finished, it still had 30 minutes to go. Definitely downloading full games on my wired PS3 and then transferring from now on, because I had to leave my Vita at home so I can't play HSG during lunch at work! *sob*

Yep. This is really what it comes down to. Most of us "all in" guys want to see this thing sell in the worst way because we know it means more support from Sony and 3rd party developers.

However, most the "on the fence" guys, want to see the sales numbers suffer because they want that 50 dollar price cut.

I'd rather support the system and see it get support than save 50 dollars on a dying system that Sony is trying to wash their hands of.

That's not true, at all. The price isn't what's bothering me, although I would take a price drop, (who wouldn't?) I just want to see some real support from developers. If there isn't support, it becomes useless for me. I purchased a PSP and it collected dust.

Not meaning this as a joke, but Blzer, I just put this thing in my crystal case, and it is HEAVY. If you're still wanting to go the pants pocket route, this is not the case for you.

About to go pick up my Vita. Anybody that wants to play some Hot Shots or Wipeout add me on psn. I want to try out the cross game chat as well. I need some Vita gamers! I'm also thinking of getting a 4th game for kicks. I'll see what Walmart has after Gamestop.

Not sure, it was some app where the description made it sound like you needed it for cross platforming gaming. I don't have any use for it right now, but I went ahead and downloaded it anyway. It was so late when the update came through that I wasn't really reading much of the info, I just grabbed everything that was free
