I read on a blog today that word from the E3 floor is that madden vita is garbage, basically ipad madden with buttons. I hope thats not true but im not encouraged. Not a good look.

sorry I can't believe that, with what the show is on the Vita, there is no way madden can't be good.

Well... it's two totally different dev teams, so it's certainly possible.

I can see how some could get the impression. The current Madden is a number of iterations on an engine to get the most out of the hardware it's on. New hardware, dialing back some of the details, not as responsive controls due to lack of things like pressure sensitive buttons... plenty of room to go very wrong.

Seeing Nintendo devote an hour long presser JUST to 3DS games makes me really depressed about the Vita, lol.

If it exists, can you throw a link in my DSi or 3DS thread (just to push me even further towards buying a 3DS)?

I've put feelers out to Steve and Dustin on Twitter to get us Vita impressions on Madden and Vita if they get the chance to see the games.

This is how I'm feeling. The sports game lineup is lacking for my taste, and the non sports lineup I'm just not feeling. Still can't get over no PES, NCAA, or NHL.

Amen, Brother! I so want to make the leap to Vita, but Sony is not helping me. No NCAA or NHL, combined with no GTA or Burnout, means the wait continues.

Yeah, it's a bummer, but Sony doesn't make those games. It's up to those individual developers whether or not they want to take that plunge.

I'm sure hoping that is true. I will take a Madden 12 port just to have a solid Football game on the go.

And I know for a fact your with me DJ. If they have a defensive reverse player lock camera it becomes a definite buy.

But at same time would be pissed if they put that in a Vita game and still can't get it into the console versions.

Once the sports game start rolling out, I mean they have to give some of the sports game we love a t least one shot at a vita version, when that happens, we will see.


Hope COD is the saver at this point, I hope it can live up to being the best hand held game we want it to be.

The problem with the Vita is a lot of people just don't know about it. Literally anyone who has seen me holding it for the first time goes, "Is that a PSP?" I don't want to spend my time explaining the difference to them, but I just tell them, "No."

Look, I don't like PSP. I don't want anything to do with that garbage. Vita is different. It just is. Maybe because it has a baseball game that I can transfer to my PS3, I don't know. However, I have it and love it. I couldn't ever say the same about a PSP, even if I owned it.
