How do you have physical copy for Vita?

And if they price tag it at $5.99 I will be all over it. I loved that game.

Sorry, I mean the PSX version. That's why I mentioned Remote Play.

I missed the remote play part sorry. How does that work? Can you still play it on the go? May sound stupid but have no clue what remote play is.

But if its the full game and you can play it anytime I wouldn't see a need to but the game from PSN.

Remote Play allows you to access your PS3 display on your Vita screen. So basically, you get the XMB on the screen when you first connect. You can do things like look at media (and you can choose the audio source, either your Vita or the PS3), check PSN messages, etc.

The only problem is it blocks you from accessing games, movies, and apps, unless for whatever reason they have allowed it. For instance, PS3 games can't be played with Remote Play (with very, very limited exceptions), but PSX games can be played. So, if I have any PSX games downloaded or in the system, I can play them. Cool Boarders 2 is an example.

Remote Play has two different ways you can connect: through a private network, or through the internet.

With a private network, you have to be connected to the same wireless router with both the PS3 and Vita. IMO it's the only way to do Remote Play. It looks a lot better, and while there is slight lag, at least it's responsive.

With the internet, you can be connected anywhere else with your Vita, and be able to connect to your PS3 that's at home. I haven't been able to get it to work away from home for whatever reason (probably because I try to connect at work, which has a different connecting system), but it's way too slow anyway.

What they need to do is allow us to use Remote Play for everything on our PS3. I don't really see how this would be a problem. I mean, we already own the thing, and most people wouldn't do Remote Play away from home anyway, so you can still buy the Vita version of whatever game you're going to get. It's just ridiculous that they don't expand it more.

I think Remote Play is more for playing games that aren't available on Vita, because if they are you can play it any time without any input lag.

Thanks for heads up. I'll have to check that out that sounds awesome for the PSX games at least.

But back to Cool Boarders it sound like you can really only play at home or near an Internet so if they do release the game for $5.99 I would say buy it. Gives you full access no matter where you are without lag.

The only way I've found to get the Internet Remote Play to work away from home is to leave the PS3 on in its Remote Play standby mode (going to Network>Remote Play and just leaving it on the next screen). Once you try to connect from the Vita it should kick in and show your XMB on the Vita, IF your connection is strong enough to hold the connection.

I can't seem to make the PS3 power on and go to Remote Play by itself like I could with the PSP - dunno why. But I've used that in the past to play PS1 games stored on my PS3 - albeit with some lag involved. You probably wouldn't want to play shooters or fighting games, but RPG's can work pretty well.

I think The Show is great. Wipeout 2048 is impressive. FIFA was solid new one is coming and improving alot from what I hear. If you like platformers and have not played Rayman origins it is fantastic. LBP is right around the corner about 3 weeks. If you like fighting I hear Mortal Kombat is excellent on Vita. Uncharted is quite good also.

This, and also Motorstorm RC and Super Stardust Delta on the PSN are a blast.

Escape Plan on there is pretty clever and fun too.

Not sure, however it is frustrating when anything comes out from Sony there is always some delay in actually getting it.

I guess, but there's also a reason I hadn't played it in about twelve years, too.

I updated the firmware to 1.80 this morning, and it's nice to be able to scroll the menus with the sticks and buttons rather than having to use the touchscreen.

I also put Resident Evil 1, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid and Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV on the Vita, but I haven't had a chance to mess with them too much because I'm occupied with Madden right now.

For anyone sitting on the fence, there is so much content available I can't get to it all. I know about all the complaints with the lack of games, but I don't get it.

I have really enjoyed MGS Collection, FIFA, MLB The Show, Resistance (online), Lumines, Sound Shapes, Unit 13, and now Madden. Not to mention PSP games like Street Fighter Alpha 3, GTA Vice City Stories, Tiger Woods 10, Little Big Planet and now we have the PS1 games as well.

Can't wait for Retro City Rampage, Call of Duty, Killzone, FIFA 13, etc. This is a great device.

Didn't even notice this until last night (bcruise commented on my Hole in One) but it finally shows up in the Notification Bar! Something I requested several times in the PS Vita feedback forum.

Prior to 1.80, I wouldn't know that he made a comment or "liked" unless I checked my activity.
