See that's the thing though, I have always been a big fan of handheld gaming systems, and I love my PSP. I was ready to jump to the Vita as soon as it was announced. Yet, somehow, Sony has yet to make it attractive to me. I am the target market Sony should have been aiming for. Instead, they limited their audience to PS3 owners. And Sony wonders why sales are falling short?

Just out of curiosity, accessory prices aside, what is it that you would like to be different about this?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Again, I see it the other way. This thing is just so feature-heavy that it is more expensive than consoles. Who would be crazy enough to buy something like this other than current PS3 owners who want something that would complement the thing?

What I would like, aside from lower prices (especially of the memory cards), is only two things:
1) Ability to use my PSP games on my Vita (as I did when I transitioned from my Xbox to my 360 (and, frankly, this alone would have made me a day one buyer)
2) Better support from game developers/publishers - I want my Burnout, my GTA, and hockey and college football.Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
We're barely over half a year into the Vita being on shelves...
1. You CAN play psp games on it, just not via UMD, and IMO, thank God those are gone.
2. If you're wanting a Burnout, then NFS MW should already be on your must-buy list. Furthermore, the consoles haven't had a Burnout since Paradise either. NFS is essentially its spiritual successor though, and an amazing game.
3. It's not NCAA, but Madden is fantastic on Vita.
4. GTA; The consoles didn't get a GTA until 2008, and now the next won't hit until 2013.
Again, we're just over half a year on this thing.Comment

I didn't even know the WiiU was out yet.
I really want to see what LBP2 goes with the Vita/PS3 controller support thing.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I'm surprised you got rid of your Vita; it seemed you were really digging the system a few months ago. What happened that made you trade it in? I hope you re-join the Vita club.Currently Playing:

I don't know, I just wasn't playing it as much and a friend of mine offered me some decent money for it. Then as soon as I sell it I crave handheld soccer and baseball. Then of course a white one comes out to put me right back over the edge.YNWAComment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
Revisiting an old topic here, but for those of you that still use them, how are you feeling about the Trigger Grips?
I picked them back up for the hell of it:
- I love the triggers, especially for NFS
- I've got the white AC Vita now... not sure I love the black on white look
- While I like the controller feel they add, I don't like that I can't keep the Vita in its case, and I don't like having to take the grips on and off all the time
- I've read a few things online that they can be bad for the Vita shoulder buttons over time?
Let me know what you guys think. I may use these while I'm at home, where I mostly play my Vita anyway, and then just leave them at home when I travel.Last edited by rock85; 11-19-2012, 05:12 AM.Comment

2. Agreed, that is one of the games I would absolutely get for the Vita
3. Yep, another one that would be on my "mus buy" list.
4. True, but GTA 5 will not be on the Vita (or at least Rockstar is saying just Xbox and PS3), which, to me, is a bad sign.
Hey, you are right, we are early in the cycle for the Vita. I know I am being impatient, but I just really looked forward to this system coming out. I really hoped for some form of using my PSP games on my Vita, and for more "must buy" games. I'm not saying I will never buy Vita, I'm just saying Sony has yet to make any concerted effort to have a buyer like me take the plunge.Comment
