I'm seriously thinking about getting the X41's from Turtle Beach, $137 new at Amazon. Best Buy said they would match the price. Either that or I am gonna go snag another pair of Trittons AX 720's. Any advice???

Re: Gaming headsets
I did have two sets of Tritons that both broke off at the ear. Took one back within a week to Gamestop, the other was out of warranty.
I don't think I'll buy Tritons again. It's probably just bad luck. Others seem to enjoy them, but they just didn't work out for me.Comment

I have a wired set of Turtle Beaches that I love. Haven't had any issues with them.

Re: Gaming headsets
I cannot speak for the other headsets, but I love that I can adjust game volume and the voice volume of online gamers. I have had no issues with hissing or anything else.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

Re: Gaming headsets
I only get a hissing sound when I turn them WAYYYY up. For normal play I don't notice a hiss.
They also have a feature where they feed your mic back into your ears, so you can hear yourself a little better.Comment

Re: Gaming headsets
There are new headsets coming this fall. A new version of the PX5's that are designed for 360 coming. Basically in 360 colors and includes the bluetooth adapter, also going to 7.1 audio instead of 5.1.
But the ones I want are the Tritton Warhead's that will be out this fall. 7.1 audio, rechargable, but the biggest is with Madcatz new deal with MS, they will have the wireless 360 headset features built into it. So only the wire from the 360 to the unit (actually powered by USB this time instead of 14 power adapters, Tritton users know what I'm talking about) and you'll have full 7.1 audio and full voice chat on both 360 and PS3.Comment

Re: Gaming headsets
I bought the P11's today at bestbuy on sale for 44 bucks. Kinda mixed results. The build quality is cheap and they are not very comfortable, but they sound good so far. Of course I have nothing to compare them too, but I listened to NCAA12 and the crowd was really amped up and I could hear some other details as well. I played some zombies on black ops and the sound was pretty good. My biggest issue right now is comfort, my ears get hot real fast and the pad on top is very thin. I guess you get what you pay for.I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me!

Re: Gaming headsets
Does anyone actually have the Astro A40's or the A30's? I would love some feedback. I'm about to spend some bank on some headphones and would like to only do this once... if that's possible.Last edited by josef; 08-13-2011, 02:14 PM.PSN: jaydazzle

Re: Gaming headsets
No headphones last forever, that being said, you should get at least a good 3 to 5 years out of it. I had my dx 11's for 2 years now.....still going strong.Comment
